After 15 years of working in Hotel Management, I left the Hospitality industry to start my own business.  ZANDER Healthcare Management Solutions, Inc. is a full-service corporation dedicated to meeting all of the insurance and patient billing needs for small group and individual medical practices. 

ZANDER provides services that include practice management software and hardware sales, installation and maintenance.  practice management analysis, electronic and paper claims processing, soft collections, document management and remote backup services.  Additionally, ZANDER can help you prepare for an RAC Audit, provide transcription services and can digitize historical records.

When the opportunity to work for Edward Jones came up, decided to take advantage of the incredible oppotunity to work for the #1 full-service brokerage firm (according to many national polls).  I have taken a minority role in ZANDER and passed the sales and operation role I was performing to my business partner.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts

Responsible for the direction and oversight of key guest contact departments and their managers and team members for this 1110- room downtown convention hotel.
•	Managed multi-million dollar budgets for payroll, inventory management, revenue planning.
•	Maximized room revenue and productivity, consistently out-performing budgeted profitability (7% in 2010) through strict cost controls and compliance with corporate standards of operation.  Established monthly reporting system on profit and loss for Rooms Division and presented results 
to fellow Executive Committee members.
•	Successfully led various projects, including purchase of new uniforms for entire hotel, installation of new furniture in guest rooms, and implementation of new key-tracking system.  Led search for new retail occupant to increase revenue and improve service.
•	Hire, train, and develop team of 150+ staff.  Provide guidance, leadership , and instruction to department heads.  Analyzed staffing to maintain appropriate level to match business demand.

Hilton El Paso Airport

Responsible for all staffing and training of employees in Front Office, Reservations, PBX, and Guest Services.
•	Worked closely with other Executive Committee members to ensure coordination of activities during $3M renovation of 272-room airport hotel property.  
•	Created and implemented pricing and marketing strategies which resulted in $4.30 increase in average daily rate and a 5% increase in occupancy during the first year.

•	Provided cost analyses, record-keeping, marketing and pricing advice, and associated assistance to rural agribusinesses in Uruguay.
•	Conducted local and national surveys on state of industry, costs of production materials, etc.
•	Provided market analyses and other assistance to various small businesses.
•	Taught basic business practices to high school students.
