SATC is different from other flight schools because the cornerstone of our philosophy is flexibility and convenience. Our fleet of aircrafts feature several different makes and models, making it easy to find a aircraft that suits your skill and experience level. Our fleet contains nine Cessna 172’s, the world’s number one training aircraft and a great plane for beginners. We also have a Cessna 182, an excellent cross country aircraft featuring G1000 Avionics, to help students easily transition from standard Cessna 172’s to larger aircrafts. Our Private and Commercial Pilot’s license students also have access to two multi-engine Piper Seneca II’s, which can be rented for all applicable training.

Cavalier Aviation Ltd, offer us, and our students, their full support and attention while they maintain our fleet. Cavalier understands that airtime is integral when it comes to the success of students. It is important to us and to them that SATC students experience both flexibility and convenience when it comes to booking their flight training. To minimize disruption, all aircraft maintenance is scheduled strategically, keeping downtime to a minimum.

SATC is a licensed Vocational school approved by Alberta Learning, that is committed to achieving and maintaining a high standard of flight training. This vocational license allows students holding a private pilot’s license to apply for government funding to help them cover the cost of training for their commercial pilot’s license. We are also certified to issue tuition tax credit receipts, allowing our students to claim tuition expenses on income tax returns.  

We own Calgary Air Taxi and is recognized training partner of WestJet FlightPath Program which provides the career development pathway as a Charter pilot and eventually onto our partner WestJet's Encore program.

2.Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• supervising all flight and ground instructors in the flight training unit;
• developing and implementing appropriate flight training operations, documentation, action plans and operational control systems in accordance with relevant sections of the CARs;
• ensuring quality and content of ground school instruction and flight training provided by the flight training unit;
• ensuring quality control of the content and accuracy of Pilot Training Records, course reports, student pilot permits issued, license applications and any other documents which form part of the training process;
• ensuring flight safety at all times;
• ensuring that all staff members have access to changes to regulations and standards; and
• liaising with Transport Canada on all matters concerning flight training operations.

3. Providing academic leadership, vision and continuous quality improvement for the flight management program by:
• coordinating the full-time and part-time workload assignments;
• conducting performance reviews with full-time and part-time staff;
• recruiting, hiring and orienting full-time and part-time flight staff;
• working with faculty to develop and implement annual academic program directives;
• working with program coordinators to develop and implement student recruitment strategies; 

4. Providing strategic and administrative leadership by:
• participating in strategic, business and budget planning processes;
• identifying operating and capital requirements;
• monitoring budgets, identifying variances, recommending actions to the President;
