Working in small teams of 1-3 people delivering high-quality CG animations and visualisations for the oil and gas industry.

BP Technology Experience:

High profile project in collaboration with MPC for BP as part of their Olympics showcase. The final rendered footage needed to be aligned and projected on 4-5 walls creating the feeling of immersion in the 3D space. The seamless blending between cameras and large resolutions required meant we had to be very efficient with our testing and rendering setups.

My roles:
• VFX Supervisor on live action shoot at BP labs. 
• Camera tracking of live action plate and aligning tracked data with reprojected footage.
• Integrating and lighting CG oil platform into live action footage. 
• Reprojecting live action and CG to match the rest of the projection space. 
• Modeling, lighting, shading, aligning and animating stylized visualisations of oil rig wells to match movement and position of the reprojected live action plate. 
• Compositing of all elements.
• Further modelling, sculpting, texturing and lighting and animation of realistic rock face and water/oil flow visualisations.

- In general, working very closely with artists in MPC and problem solving projection and lineup issues.

Advanced Insulation (www.aisplc.com):
8 minute full CG animation detailing the client’s product for insulating subsea components and topside oil platforms. 

Cambridge Nanotherm:
3 minute full CG animation showing the client’s revolutionary LED heat dispersion solution.

Other duties at Polar Media include animating complex camera moves, creating bespoke shaders, meeting clients and discussing project options based on complexity, budgets and timeframes.

Freelance CG Generalist

Duties: Acting as main point of contact for students, assisting in and out of classes with lessons, coursework and projects, assisting with the development and quality assurance of online course material, office administration work.

Skills aquired: 
- Extended knowledge and familiarity of softwares used in Escape courses.
- Excellent on-the-spot troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Honed explanation and demonstrative skills when assisting students.
- Great communications skills especially when dealing with difficult students, students with poor English, and students under stress.
- Vast amounts of patience!

Studio Assistant

Duties and skills aquired:
- Diagnosing highly technical issues with large-scale customer systems.
- Researching and troubleshooting efficiently under high pressure.
- Recreating customer environments and performing rigorous testing
- Dealing with high profile, highly experienced and often irrate customers. 
- Managing and prioritising critical issues and an often unreasonable workload.
- Quickly learning and utilising systems and environments hitherto unknown.

Support Analyst

I have over 12 years experience in Visual Effects and have worked on everything from childrens TV and corporate animation to high end Netflix and Hollywood blockbusters. I love being part of the teams that deliver the best VFX work in the world. 

As well as the technical and artistic challanges, I particularly enjoy the people side of this job. Empwowering my team to be the best version of themselves in and outside of work is something I'm passionate about.
