Joined as the first FP&A hire, laying the foundations for forecasting and reporting — here are 3 big milestones from that phase:

* Built our Revenue Forecast model in BI — combining AM inputs + Salesforce pipeline
* Set budgets and targets across teams, aligning with leadership on priorities
* Delivered our first board-ready reporting pack with insights on revenue, costs, and burn

FP&A Associate

LDS Advisory

LDS Advisory is a financial advisory boutique. It supports its clients on milestone decisions from scale-up overgrowth, M&A and exit (mainly targets with an income up to €50M).

My day-to-day was split between 2 main advisory activities, (i) M&A related, and (ii) performance management.

(i) M&A related / Transaction services:
*Analysis of the Target's financial statements and business plans in the context of acquisition or sell-side due diligence with the purpose of identifying normalization adjustments on EBITDA, net working capital and net financial debt;
* Preparation of draft due diligence reports including charts, tables, analyses and conclusions to inform our clients' decisions;
* Research of industry related information to support the preparation of Valuation reports using different valuation methods;
* Business plan modeling and reviews;

(ii) Performance & transformation projects (directly liaising with key management advising them on KPIs and key development questions):

* Power BI implementation (back and front-end)
   - KPIs tracker;
   - Sales drivers;
   - Inventory management;
   - Sales personnel conversion;
   - Gross margin per product;
   - And giving training, amongst others.

* Financial reporting: 
   - Developing management accounts from scratch and participating in the monthly reporting;
   - Continuously enhancing closing accounting activities to derive more accurate figures.

Corporate Finance Advisor

Deloitte

Reviewing, improving and automating end-to-end accounting and finance processes before coordinating tasks transfer towards shared service centers located in Eastern Europe or Asia with the main objective of cutting personnel expenses.

Projects: 

* Financial accounting, inventory - Ahold Delhaize;
* Project controlling - Deloitte Consulting;
* Purchase-to-pay - Umicore; 
* Billing - DHL European HQ.

Internally at Deloitte:

* Learning - Providing Excel training for up to 20 junior accounting consultants;
* Recruitment - Finance Day;
* Robotics Process Automation (RPA) - UiPath.

Finance Consultant

Credendo

Intern Credit Analyst at Credendo, a European credit insurance group that is active in trade credit and political risk insurance.

Tasks: 
* Assessing creditworthiness of existing customers with the Credendo Credit Model based on financial statements, qualitative information (Bloomberg + Rating agencies) and political risks - Renewals up to 500K€;
* Keeping the CRM updated; 
* Supervision and coaching up to 5 interns.

Periods (50 days per year):
* Senior intern - January 2018 - June 2018
* Senior summer intern 2017
* Junior summer intern 2016
