2024: I procrastinated.
2025: I finally did it.

I always wanted to start a newsletter. Wasn't sure in which domain.

I've always been experimenting with the digital space.

But everything had 2 fields in common.

1. Marketing
2. Copywriting

After finishing my bachelor's in engineering, I was sure I didn't want to go in the technical route. 

So, I started applying for jobs in marketing. Got one. Did it for 1.5 years as a generalist. 

That's when I realized.

I love studying companies that did extraordinary work in capturing demand for their service/product, and the second was using words to connect with people's emotions. 

And from there on, I started diving deep and wanted to share my learnings and findings with the internet. 

Sure, I was writing content on this platform and X. 

But I wanted to build a community of folks who have the same passion as me. 

That's when I decided to start Write&Attract, and finally in January 2025, I published my first edition.

And since then I've been sharing some of the world's interesting findings in 1) Copywriting & 2) Marketing with my subscribers. 

My goal is to make this newsletter a one-stop place for copywriting examples and marketing secrets used by people and companies we all know and love.

We've been operational since 2002. 

Started by my father. Now I joined him to grow the company digitally. 

Apart from a few listings on some directories, we had no digital presence. 

That's when I realized if we keep sticking to this route, it will be very difficult to drive inbound leads. 

And since joining:

- I've built a marketing website for the business (www.systemengg.com) in Webflow.
- Create YT, IG, LI, and FB company pages and a LinkedIn profile for my father. 
- Started sharing short-form content on the platforms.
- Revamped the entire brochure in Figma
- Established a brand that stands out from the competitors. 
- Outbound outreach mechanism to generate leads.
- SEO discoverability in LLMs and Google.
- Revamped our Google My Business profile. 

And much more. 

I believe the process of good B2B marketing is continuous optimization and little tweaks that deliver the results. 

And most importantly, serving our clients with quality products and experiences that last long.

This was my first ever office job!

Stressed after completing my bachelor's on how to get a job in a field that is different from my traditional education. That period was rough. 

After a lot of cold DMs to the founder on LinkedIn. I finally cracked this one. 

At first, I was an intern and then converted to a full-time marketer. 

I was handling:

- Content writing for the stakeholders and 2 companies on multiple platforms. 
- SEO optimization of blogs, on-page SEO, and off-page SEO. 
- Website optimization to find loopholes where the drop-offs were happening and how to convert better.
- Podcast outreach for the show, where the CEO used to interview B2B SaaS founders.
- Setting up and managing in-person events (Tech Meets)
- Brainstorming sessions with stakeholders. 
- Podcast and content shoots for social platforms.
- Grew their LinkedIn company page from 17K to 37K followers. 
- LinkedIn ads to run TOF and MOF ads to sell their services.

I got my first taste of marketing while in college. 

2019: 
→ Launched my first dropshipping store. Failed miserably. 
(But learned facebook ads)

2020: 
→ Came across an SMMA course from "you know who.". Didn't take off. 
(Learned mindset and outreach)

2021: 
→ Started consulting D2C business owners on their digital presence and worked at my family-owned manufacturing business. 
(Learned client communication and B2B)

2022: 
→ Started writing on LinkedIn and X. No consistency. 
(Learned social copywriting)

2023 - 2024: 
→ Landed a job through cold DM on LinkedIn. 

2025: 
→ Double down on Copywriting and Website Strategy for local businesses. 
→ Helping grow the family business. 
→ Building my personal brand. 

This was just an overview.
