As part of the eCommerce team, we actually have 2 main goals:

- help hoteliers drive more traffic.
- help hoteliers convert as much traffic as possible into bookings.

In my role I am responsible for helping hoteliers in converting better through the booking engine provided by WorldHotels by shifting reservations from 3rd-party channels and by making the products (rooms and rates) of the hotel more appealing for the target market with in-depth revenue related insights.

Senior E-commerce Product Manager

I joined Worldhotels in the middle of a restructuring process within the Global Operations' team, mostly looking after E-commerce and Online Distribution, Revenue Management and Hotel Integrations:

- Providing customers (hoteliers) with the professional knowledge they need to compete in today's online distribution;

- Managing hotel integrations for new Worldhotels' affilates coming on board, which include GDS setup and switch, CRS setup, IBE setup, OTAs' setup, Consortia subscriptions, Corporate and RFP management. I am responsible for managing the hotel integration of new properties acting as central contact and ensuring a smooth and quick integration to all available distribution channels. Through the Hotel Integration restructure project I am responsible for, I had the opportunity to define new standards and best practices, always adapting the entire process to each individual hotel needs and expertise;
- First inductions on the tools Worldhotels provides hoteliers with, during the integration process.

- Best practices, Standard Operation Procedures and ad hoc solutions to help hoteliers driving more direct bookings
- E-commerce, IBE and OTA and consultancy: tracking of customers behaviour on the online booking channels through Analytics booking funnels, Piwik statistics or other tracking tools data.
- Internet Booking Engine frontend customization and look&feel enhancements by implementing Javascripts, CSS and third-party libraries;
- IBE project management: consistent planning of feature enhancements, new developments and their validation, that should meet both international standards and user requirements;
- OTA vs IBE strategies: setting and following respective strategies in order to optimize the hotels’  performance versus budgeted targets and/or their competitor set
- OTA technical management: setting and following CRS-OTA xml connectivity.

- Creating and managing the training program of new hires to the revenue management team
