Working as a coach and mentor with directors, VPs, CXO and entrepreneurs, he works holistically to help them rebalance their health, losing 14-30 lbs in the process so that they can rise to the next level personally and/or professionally.

Alex is an ex-FTSE100 Executive with a background in physical performance and psychology. He’s also an ultra challenge enthusiast, having competed in numerous events, from a 100 mile run, 700 mile triathlon and Iron Man to name a few.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for building a high performing new capability team from the ground up, training, mentoring, and embedding BT process in technical hybrid (waterfall and agile) digital process models.
Improve cross departmental ways of working between the technology and operations arm of BT and the consumer digital part.
Oversee the sales aspect for the Digital Transformation of BT Consumer Digital’s e-commerce, sales through service and personalisation engine deliverables.

Achievements:

Delivered new call handling agent software, reducing total call handling time in the trial agents by 17%.
Delivered incremental capability for both My BT web and application variants, reducing PTC by 2%, error rate by 7% and increasing sales across the board.
Delivered the largest personalisation engine ever used within the business for personalised selling and e-commerce redesign, grossing an incremental 2k recontracts per week (16% uplift) and oversaw the programming that was set to deliver £16.1m NPV over 5 years.

New Digital Capability Lead

Responsible for the delivery and optimisation of 6 strategic workstreams.

Work across digital, marketing, commercial and information technology to deliver experiences which allow existing customers access to the service elements of their cross BT portfolio products. Also responsible for the end to end sales experience to existing customers and personalisation projects.

Senior Product Owner

Responsible for the upsell and cross selling of all core BT consumer products and additional services in a digital service environment.

Driving synergies and change across online/digital and our contact centre operatives systems, ensuring alignment which is geared at reducing total call handling time and helping agent understand customer issues quicker and more efficiently.

Business verification test lead for the Consumer.com programme.  This £32 million programme looks at completely redesigning the way that customers interact with BT online and gives them the capability to self serve many more issues themselves rather than relying on assisted channels.

Ensure that all solutions allow us to measure common analytical metrics through Adobe DTM and have the necessary tagging solutions to allow us to successfully measure true Propensity to Call rates.

Align other functions across the consumer business, so that traffic is directed to online channels for those customers that may need or want to upgrade any element of their product holding and ensuring the maximum volume of traffic is sent through to BT.com/My BT.  Also responsible for optimising in life page funnels and conversion.

Building an end to end UX and UI experience that provides additional capability for customers to manage their products/services online.

Extending this build to include a 3 year robust digital strategy to allow for a £5 million benefits case to be realised.

Product Owner / Digital Marketer

•	Defining and delivering digital change initiatives and outcomes that radically transform the consumer P&L through selling and serving more customers through digital channels.
•	Business lead for a number of IT scrum teams and manage resource to deliver new change initiatives across online (desktop & mobile).
•	I work with the wider business to define the scope and requirement for each change initiative and act as the key point of contact for a change initiative within the online team.


•	Prioritise requirements based on identified business benefits and manage the trade-offs between scope and delivery date to agree plan of record with the IT delivery teams
•	Influence and engage with stakeholders on the priority of delivery and pace of change.
•	Ensure that new online capability meets our online standards e.g. fully optimised for SEO, appropriate page display and tagging, UX and UE considerations and journeys.
•	I maintain the vision of a change initiative, taking requirements from the business and manifesting this into online and multi-channel solutions making sure the objectives are delivered.
•	Work closely with the Online Customer/ User Experience team to input into the user experience definition process.
•	Ensure the customer experience meets the business objectives and can be delivered by the IT delivery teams within budget and timescales. To ensure any change initiatives align with our online strategy and overall priorities.
•	I work closely with the Online Operations team to develop multi-channel delivery service improvements and launch these across both voice and online channels. This includes defining and measuring the effectiveness of an initiative post launch.

Multi Channel Product Owner (Digital)

Ownership of all Prepay KPIs: Handsets, Mass distribution (Standard, International), O2 Travel, Top up.

Driving focus and conversion onto the category.

Category management – 

•	Creation of forecasts, action plan & calendar of events for coming quarter and year, aligning plans to P&L, commercial props and campaigns 

•	Agree targets with commercial and ensure outlooks align with finance 

•	Analysing & Commentary – Analysis of effectiveness of merchandising across the site following execution of props. Deep dive analysis into new props, issues etc. 

•	Tracking sales plans and performance 

•	Ensuring activity is in place across the four levers:

•	Merchandising - Provide steer and set direction for commercial direction of the our trading platforms. 

•	Own Merchandising prioritisation for prepay changes process - inputting briefs and demand, prioritisation of change and tracking implementation.

•	Facilitator between merchandising, traders, vendors and product owners

•	Capability - Support scoping of new Change activity, underpinning benefit and influencing future roadmap. 

•	Marketing -  Ensure Uvs meet required levels and work with DR team to optimise spend. 

•	Commercial – Work to maximise sales opportunity through prop, price, availability & exclusives. 

•	Competitor analysis – both domestic and international

•	Underpin benefits for new change initiatives and BAU changes – alignment with finance.

•	Support integration of Freesim back into main shop experience. 

•	Responsible for coordinating and delivering the monthly and quarterly sales plan wrap up meetings each month and every quarter, producing scripted analysis and presenting findings to the head of online sales and service.

Involved in project based activities within the Retirement Income department.

Managed the internal intranet communications to staff concerning the development of the Retirement Income department.

Coordinate communications between various functions of the Retirement Business Unit and develop a monthly newsletter to convery these.

Through customer research, script editing and training of customer call centre staff, jointly responsible for the increase in annuity customer retention rates from 25% - 50%.

Responsible for the coordination, collation and digitalisation of product literature pieces.

Through individual initiatives raised over £4,500 for charitable causes.

Was involved and appeared in 14 pieces of local and national press including national "Mozzy Air Campaigns", The Sun's Travel Health piece and talking live on BBC Radio Wiltshire's talkshow.

Organised and hosted RAG raids, church speaking events and pub fundraisers.

Was awarded the Barnardos Innovation award at Loughborough University for the most inventive fundraising initiative.

Responsible for national marketing campaigns, tactics, demand planning and sales of a number of Tegaderm branded products.

Formed part of the global branding team for a new research and development project with a £10 million first year sales potential.

Launched products into both the acute secondary care and primary care markets, negotiating terms with channel intermediaries and utilising associated marketing tools and functions.

Developed an advanced wound care series of e-learning modules, overseeing and completing the entire project.  These modules enabled our customers to improve their educational needs and have received accreditation from the Royal College of Nursing.

Responsible for the updating and transfer of information to the new Siebel CRM software programme.

In a world full of tomorrows, the man who seizes today wins 



I was speaking to a previous client yesterday about doing some more performance coaching work together 

I’d spoken to him 3 months before and said unfortunately I couldn’t help.

You see, I was in the final throes of training for my English Channel swim and I needed to focus.

I’ve coached 100s of guys over the years and here’s ME being coached by my coach Nils 

He’d told me that morning. “We’re going to get across. You’re not here to fuck spiders.” 🕷️ 

That day, more than any other for me, there was a sense of urgency.

I HAD to keep swimming. We HAD to get it done.

So yesterday me and my client reflected on how for many people there’s a lack of urgency.

The time spent between saying you’ll do something and actually doing something is too long for most people 

It’s the difference between decisions and REAL decisions 

Steven Bartlett talks about it. Alex Hormozi talks about it. Elon Musk talks about it.

There’s a correlation here between those who seek to close that gap and the levels of success a person experiences.

It’s just easier to do it with a coach.

Ps. I’m going to be taking on just 1-2 people who want to level up their fitness, career and their life and want to do it today, not tomorrow.
