✪ Joined Retail Week to develop and professionalise the businesses bespoke content offering. Strategic briefing notes, whitepapers, workshops, presentations at live events and new product development all fell under my remit.

✪ Tasked with achieving a revenue target of £2.1 million for the current financial year, up from £600,000 in 2014 (20% above target) and £1.1 million (5% above target) in 2015 - running an operating margin of 70%. Target linked to bonus.

Aided client understanding of the retail sector by creating bespoke projects and demonstrating thought leadership through whitepapers, webcasts and presentations. Gained significant experience of producing research with an understanding of client needs.

✪ Acted in a consultancy role for companies including Accenture, CD Networks, Pepsi Co, Trace One, Walmart, Unilever and Lego. Demonstrated first rate organisational skills across all projects and strong commercial awareness. Drawing insights from research and articulating key findings relating to client objectives.

✪ Coordinated a project, commissioned by a leading consultancy, indexing the multi-channel capabilities of 130 retailers in five key markets globally. Responsibilities ranged from managing freelancers across different time zones to data compilation and presentation of key findings to client.

✪ Project managed a research piece for one of the world’s largest toy producers that helped them answer whether they should partner with leading retailers to promote a new product range. Displayed ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.

✪ Advised a Swiss fashion start-up on how to build brand awareness via digital methods. The two-month project sharpened their business focus and provided them with a solid platform to take product to market.

✪ Developed a leading indicator of retailer market entries and compiled a report on the internationalisation of online retailers and how to effectively access emerging e-commerce and m-commerce markets.
  
✪ Presented at the Analytics, Insight & Smart Data Retail Summit, Retail Week Live and Digital Innovation Master Classes on how retailers can better connect with shoppers in today’s multi-channel world.

✪ Author of the Japan and China Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reports on behalf of Markit and HSBC Holdings plc respectively. PMIs are based on monthly surveys of carefully selected companies, providing business decision-makers with up-to-date, accurate and reliable data on which to benchmark performance and base business strategy.

✪ Responsible for analyzing economic trends in China and Emerging Asia, providing analysis and commentary. Charged with developing new indicators of business conditions, including regional and SME indicators for China.

✪ Established relationships with journalists in order to promote PMI data on a global scale, regularly contributing to the @MarkitEconomics Twitter feed, which has over 20,000 followers and ranks highly on Business Insider's list of 101 feeds to follow in finance. 
 
✪ Spearheaded the development of the HSBC Emerging Markets Index (EMI), an indicator of the economic and business health of the world’s emerging and fastest growing markets.

✪ Periodic report writing on economic conditions means I am able to generate concise and engaging text in a short time frame. I learnt to plan, research and structure my reports effectively. Providing feedback on the written work of colleagues also sharpened my eye for detail.
