Chief Business Officer

Gero is a physics-enabled biotechnology company creating therapeutics against age-related diseases.

We apply machine learning algorithms originating from the physics of complex systems to build clinically relevant disease progression models (phenotypes) in real-world human data. Then the AI-enhanced genetic study on the phenotypes in conjunction with Whole-Exome sequencing data reveals novel therapeutic targets potentially applicable to several indications simultaneously (enabling pipeline in a single medicine commercial strategy). 

The in-human drug discovery approach allows us to avoid the “preclinical trap” and select the most efficient targets against human diseases. 

As soon as aging is responsible for the occurrence of the most significant cluster of diseases (age-related diseases), our mission is to address human aging, potentially slowing down its progression and adding many healthy years to humanity within the current generation. 

Our research is published in Nature Communications and Science journals, covered by Scientific American, Popular Mechanics and WSJ.

Longenesis is a data-driven biotech startup (500 Startups and MedTech Innovator member) founded by Insilico Medicine, a pioneer in AI for drug discovery and aging research, and Bitfury, the world's leading blockchain company. 

Longenesis is developing a way to transform biomedical data into life-saving tradable assets. 

I reported to the CEO and led an international team of 6 business development associates/MDs.

-  Entered the Asian market by establishing a legal framework for biomedical data collection in collaboration with a leading Korean law firm. Negotiated first international contracts for the company and established a strategic partnership with the leading Korean genome sequencer; 

-  Re-defined short-term strategy responding to the COVID-19 outbreak; acquired two national-level clients in EU and Middle-East enabling COVID-19-related biomedical data sharing; 

-  Won a grant and government-level support for the project from the EU Commission (EiT Health);

-  Designed and implemented a goal management framework (OKRs) that ensured that each employee's goals were aligned with the company’s strategy;

Open Longevity 

Open Longevity is a focused research organization (FRO) dedicated to accelerating the progress of science to end age-related diseases. 

•   In collaboration with CSO recruited PhDs and MDs; implemented remote management framework and managed the scientific team to release an updated version of Diagnostics of Aging Biomarkers Panel - state-of-art check-up identifying the risk of age-related diseases 

•   Established relationships with leading scientists, VCs, and biomedical entrepreneurs

Vice President Of Business Development (Biotech FRO)

Healthy Products

Healthy Products is a $5M ARR FoodTech company focused on R&D and distribution of functional and medicinal food & beverage products, including to national largest grocery chains such as X5 Retail Group (LSE:FIVE).

I was responsible for strategy, marketing, and business development. 

- Established and led multi-year strategic collaboration with State Technology University to develop formulations and production processes for a line of own products  
- Launched production of goods under the company’s own brand 
- Hired and managed logistics, business development and marketing teams
- Negotiated with and acquired as clients top national grocery chains and global food & beverage brands

Co-Founder & Chief Business Development Officer (FoodTech)

•	Saved $xxM of taxes/yr for one of the world largest public oil companies by developing business logic for the IT solution that automated tax risks analysis

Consultant within Tax Function Effectiveness Team

As the Chief Business Officer at Gero, I lead business and strategy functions including partnerships and collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations to advance our mission of targeting the root causes of age-related diseases. Leveraging our ML-enabled platform and drug discovery pipeline, we strive to develop novel therapeutics that address age-related diseases and slow the aging process itself.
