Approaching his 19th year in the financial industry, Alex has been an equity sales (including DAC) specialist for the past 10 years across HSBC Private Banking, Citi, and OCBC, with the last 6.5 in HSBC. Prior to this, he was a multi-asset investment advisor in Standard Chartered across various priority banking client segments. Alex spent 4 years at Lion Global Investors as an institutional business development manager focusing on sales and client services. This role also entails being the primary client manager for Great Eastern Holdings, Lion’s parentco and provider of >80% of the firm’s AUM across all asset classes. He also provided investment support to the External Fund Manager department where Lion oversees and conducts due diligence on behalf of GE on mandates managed by other fund management companies. Alex makes regular presentations to external clients in various stints at Lion, Standard Chartered, and HSBC. He spent the early part of his career in investment operation roles with various financial institutions. Alex is conversant in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien and served with the SAF Commandos during his national service conscription. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Business with the University of London. Alex is a Muay Thai practitioner into his 8th year, with 2 amateur bouts.
