Global Vice President,  Industry Practices

The new strategic services organization  I started up consists of  over 50 team members, and now offers a wide range of strategic services to Kinaxis customers in 4 critical areas: 

1. Continuous Learning Services (CLS) became a standalone Training & enablement department offering online virtual classroom training experience, and bespoke custom learning programs for end users. We experienced a spectacular and exponential growth (3x customer base and doubling its revenue in 3 years time) and also developed a Partner and Value Added Reseller enablement program for technical implementers  during that time period.

2. Digital Business Transformation Services (DBTS)  team offers methodology support for prescriptive solution blueprinting  to accelerate customer deployments and solution buy-in, capability roadmaps and process maturity  assessments, and piloted change management and operating model design initiatives, in close collaboration with management consulting partner firms  for strategic Kinaxis customers.   

3. Advanced Analytics Services (AAS) is a team of data scientists supporting our customers  with statistical modeling, mathematical optimization  and the introduction of AI/ML  to address critical supply chain problems in areas like predictive analytics, inventory optimization, self-Healing supply Chain and ESG 

4. Digital Innovation and acceleration (DIAS) is a team of application consultants providing our customers the opportunity  to pilot and develop new applications on the Rapidresponse platform. Examples are the Command and Control Center  (CCC), Partner Solution extensions (Solex) for Scheduling or Truckloadbuilding and Algorithm extension and fusion.

All pilot activities and services are supported by a robust Program Management Office (PMO) and a robust New Product Introduction (NPI) and Solution extension (Solex) support framework,  ensuring tight collaboration with Product Management (PM), R&D and the Global Partner Organization  (GPO).

JDA Software

My team of 20+ manufacturing experts across North America, Europe, and India delivered Solution blueprints, AI/ML solutions, and change management support services to JDA's most strategic customers.

- Developed a global team specialized in manufacturing planning, across various industries,  acting as trusted advisor on  major business transformations supported by JDA software implementations or analytics services with support of Center of Excellence in Bangalore

- Won both Presidents Club Award (Sales distinction and retreat to Costa Rica with other winners) and Emerging Leader nomination (HR Leadership recognition)  in 2017, for contribution to sales efforts and development of the team

- Pioneered a patented supply chain segmentation methodology, helped to launch new Luminate platform, and collaborated on Supply Chain innovations with JDA Labs 

- We became key support to develop the business, in both existing and new accounts, and regularly present at events, conferences or publish in professional blogs and publications.

Gartner

Trusted advisor for Supply Chain executives ensuring clients in Europe get best value from Gartner research, peer forums and analyst inquiries.

1) Helped to launch new Enterprise Supply Chain Leadership (ESCL)  product in Europe
Account base grew from zero to several million usd subscription revenue  during the 3 years we started this business line with support of Gartner business development team and IT account executives. 

2)  Two additional executive partners were hired to support this exponential growth during these 3 years. Personally i advised executives from more than 50 new customer logos!

3)  Our client portfolio ranging from senior supply chain and IT executives in FMCG,  retail, automotive, lifescience and high-tech were provided strategic advise, industry best practice  and detailed process expertise converting Gartner research, frameworks and models into practical advise.

Leadership Partner for Supply Chain Leaders (EAME)

Syngenta

In charge of global Customer-driven Supply Chain program, redesigning Syngenta 13 billion USD extended supply chain from end-customers to suppliers for crop protection products, but also for seeds .

1) Co-created, established and piloted a unique Supply Chain segmentation strategy with Global Supply Chain manager, for one key Active Ingredient, which delivered significant savings in our pilot market: 7M USD saving per year, equivalent to a 24c per litre (15%) COGS reduction!.

2) Replicated approach based on value stream mapping with other supply chain managers mobilizing cross-functional and regional teams, in other markets and for other active ingredients, including seeds. Similar methodology for example delivered 3.5M USD saving per year for a blockbuster fungicide

3) Eventually we set up a Supply Chain Redesign Network of Excellence to promote the adopted methodology supporting supply chain  managers to launch new initiatives by preparing and designing adhoc workshops and offering a SC redesign toolbox to practicioners

Global Supply Chain Strategy and Design Lead

In charge of Global Logistics Change program, redefining end-to-end supply chain visibility for Syngenta and piloting the 'Control Tower' approach for EAME.

1)  Developed a Global Spent map to identify major logistics flows, cost-saving opportunities and global guidelines for INCO-terms.

2) Helped deliver  a 'Logistics Control Tower' model  for  European transportation
Led  'Sustainable Excellence Program'  supporting Customer Service and Distribution department with a new KPI Dashboard, a  Center of Excellence for standardized  Order-to-Cash processes, a Continuous improvement concept supported by the Issue tracker tool  and  better visibility of site logistics via a web-based tool (SL TMT).

3) Assessed Ocean, truck and airfreight shipment tracking solutions and logistic provider capabilities from logistics partners in all other regions (APAC, Latam, Nafta, AME) as part of a Global Logistics Visibility initiative to scale up  logistics visibility via a global concept.

Global Logistics Change Manager

First ever nominee for Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt nomination in 3M history for a very recent hire with such short career span with the company.

In charge of supply chain planning parameter optimization of logistics network of 10 business divisions of 3M Europe.

1) Inventory

Led  Six Sigma project to transfer Safety Stock Calculator Module from 3M USA to Europe and rollout across all divisions. 

Safety stock proposals based on service target and calculated demand and supply variability could now be proposed to the planners displaying the opportunity cost of changing the safety stock target in the planning system.

2) Economic Order Quantity (EOQ)

Developed Cost-to-Serve Model as part of Six Sigma project to accurately estimate costs of logistics movements and  calculate optimal replenishment order size (lotsize parameters) for each Sku.

Using the proposals of this excel model, distribution planning system can now be configured by logistics planners  to roundup partial pallet loads and reduce logistics costs for certain Sku up to  seven times, wherever full pallets apply.

3) Leadtime reduction

Exploited already existing cross-docking operation from P&O to consolidate shipments from 7 UK production sites and simplifying transport flows to co-packers, reducing both transport costs, safety stock requirements and leadtime variation as a consequence.

Transport Costs have been reduced with 80,000 GBP per year by combining flows from copackers and 3M production sites. Leadtimes and related variation have been reduced with 1 to 2 days on average. 

Also supported Lean Deployment Manager of 3M Europe to facilitate extended Value-Stream mapping exercises for Atherstone and Zwijndrecht plants, resulting in e2e Supply Chain Improvement Programmes leveraging lean techniques  such as 5S, SMED,...

Lean Six Sigma Logistics Blackbelt

In charge of rollout of i2 solution developed as i2 Solution architect for 3M Europe the years before.


1)  Supported 3M Europe IT to roll out new planning solution  across Europe

Large-scale rollout required continuous education of key stakeholders and training of user community. Ten divisions and 60 distribution planners switched of their mainframe planning system to transition to the new i2 solution.

2) Further improvement of solution capabilities and adjustment to specific business requirements

Automatic release and execution of distribution orders for ten very diverse business divisions , required very precise planning functionality, data quality, rules for optimized parameters and policies, transforming logistics planning to 'management by exception'.  


3) Support of IT to develop a business analytics environment providing  business intelligence to planning community to help them manage and identify supply chain improvement opportunities.

Addition of a reporting environment to support i2 solution with KPI dashboards, root cause analysis and reporting of planning history.

In charge of one of the largest and most complex i2 solutions deployed in a multinational of the size of 3M leading a team of 3 to 5 i2 consultants for the entire duration of the implementation.. 

1) Design of full end-to-end i2 planning solution for over 3 years,  

Distribution planning solution included 10 demand planning engines, 15 forecast netting engines, 15 supply chain planning engines, 3 factory planning engines whilst providing extra consulting expertise to other large multinationals like Nokia and Siemens.

2) Deployment with full integration to execution systems for automatic release of transport orders, procurement and kitting orders and supported by new web-based Master Data Management solution developed with 3M IT

3) Unique optimization approach for planning leveraging CPLEX and linear programming

In charge of design of customized go-live education packages for customers going live with new, disruptive and innovative i2 solutions.  

1) i2 Industry templates development for SCM

Customers buying new integrated SCM solutions for Metals, Hitech or CPG requested training with integrated workflows across all i2 modules from demand planning to order fulfillment; specifically tailored to their industry. Also migrated Hitech solution training to new Sigma-solver, for example.

2)  Onsite support

Delivered customized CPG template training in USA, Argentina and UK for example.Hitech template in Finland, Germany and Holland. Retail template in USA.

3) i2 Tradematrix Marketplace training 

Developed the new eBusiness Marketplace Overview (eProcurement Buy & Sell Modules) in Dallas with software development team for example.
