Strategy Manager

Supporting Linklaters' leadership in determining and executing the firm-wide strategy. 

Alex’s key responsibilities/experience include:
* Nakhoda | CreateiQ - Supporting the CEO of Linklaters' internal tech startup on various corporate development and strategy projects
* Managing projects to support key strategic decisions
* Completing detailed analysis and research (client/competitor/geographic/markets)
* Internal business/financial planning and analysis (practices/offices/functions)
* Working on a range of firm-wide processes, new initiatives and supporting the wider Strategy function more broadly.

Strategy

Alex worked on transactions both pre and post deal with a focus on technology and operations for private equity firms and large corporates. Alex's experience includes vendor assistance, vendor due diligence, buy/sell side IT due diligence, carve out and separation planning, TSA negotiations, rapid value creation and synergy assessments. Alex has worked across sectors with a focus on Retail Consumer Goods, Pharma and TMT businesses with a deal value range of $60m - $8bn.

Alex's role involved developing various analytics solutions for clients utilising Tableau and Qlikview. Alex's experience includes data requirements gathering, data cleansing and rationalisation, master data management fundamentals, analysis and visual analytics reporting.

Working for an SME in the United States was an eye opening experience for Alex as he gained knowledge both developing expansion strategies with management and forward facing customer sales and interaction. Alex’s role gave him unique insights into both the Manufacturing and Hospitality Sectors in the USA. 
During Alex’s time in the firm he was part of the testing and implementation phase of a bespoke $300,000 end to end software package. Alex gained key skills in commercial awareness, sales, budgeting, strategy and implementation.

Alex has managed and supported on projects focusing on: corporate strategy, financial and business planning, external market analysis/identification (competitors/markets), due diligence as well as other hands on M&A experience.
