I founded Ascent Social after observing many local small businesses under-utilizing the power of social media and the digital space to help them achieve their goals. Ascent Social exists to come alongside these businesses and better allow them to do what they do best. After carefully analyzing a business's current state, our team develops a strategic plan centered around optimized digital marketing and social media engagement. In leading a team in this, I have learned and mastered many aspects of social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), web development, and content creation. From exploring software such as Hootsuite, Sprout, and Buffer to coming alongside businesses and helping them understand the practical tools they can use to create successful social media strategies, I work hard to maintain excellence and integrity in all I do as founder and small business. When I'm not dreaming up the next winning strategy for our amazing marketing clients, you can find me slinging drinks, fostering smiles, and sharing stories at Boise-based, bike-themed taphouse, The Handlebar. From hard-to-find craft brews to free popcorn and the infamous "free sticker" box, The Handlebar and our amazing group of bartenders and onsite activities are sure to entertain in a way you haven't experienced before.

Responsibilities include:
- Managing a working knowledge of the ever-changing tap list as well as industry trends and beer-tasting notes.
- Providing an environment that is not only inclusive but fun and inviting for all guests who visit.
- Paying attention to local news and events and incorporating such into marketing initiatives for the taphouse.
- Assuring guests stay safe and are responsible when consuming alcoholic beverages.
- Accurately managing guests' tabs and responding to requests in a timely and friendly manner.

The Bruin Store

As the social media manager and content strategist for the George Fox University Bruin Store, I was tasked with creating engaging content, developing a vision for the future, and strategically planning a content calendar that coincided with all business operations. As I performed these duties, I had opportunity to engage and perform in the following ways:

- Utilized Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and Afterlight for photo and graphic manipulation. 
- Created promotions and showcased services and products in an aesthetic and organized manner.
- Developed and integrated a post schedule and strategic growth plan for Instagram audience.
- Increased relevant post engagement by 70% over an initial span of two and a half months.
- Actively monitored all social accounts and responded to questions in a prompt, professional manner.
- Initiated, scheduled, and performed multiple, themed photo shoots with paid models.

Social Media Manager & Content Strategist

George Fox University

During my time as an administrative assistant in the George Fox College of Business, I was tasked with and performed the following duties:

- Utilized Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and MS Office to create promotional flyers, market events, and address the digital needs of the eighteen faculty I served.
- Developed and implemented a more effective grading workflow for faculty which led to improved speed, accuracy, and efficiency for the graders.
- Created and implemented a solution that reduced waste of office supplies and materials by 15%.
- Coordinated cross-department events and meetings.
- Strong team player contributing to a welcoming and productive environment in the College of Business.

College of Business Administrative Assistant 

Intern U

I co-directed the Marketing Department for Intern U, a company launched by business students for students of all walks and journeys at George Fox University, Newberg, Oregon.  

Through this management position, I had the opportunity to oversee the creation and revision of our digital, social, and promotional campaigns. In addition, I was responsible for managing cross-team collaboration and leadership initiatives and the outsourcing of many unique deliverables including: design work and branding projects, web interface design, and firm/partner relations.
