After my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management I was looking for a new challenge in the corporate world and joined KPMG Austria in Vienna. The internship in the Audit and Financial Service Advisory department not only offered me an incredible amount of professional experience but also allowed me to grow personally. Among the most important lessons learned is the fact that now I approach new and unfamiliar tasks differently; instead of fearing them, I embrace them and consider them one of the greatest learning experiences. On top of this, I have changed my view on asking for help. There is no defeat in asking for help, but again, it is a new learning experience and a great opportunity. It is a feeling of great joy to pass on what I have learned to others. So far in my carrier, I have always considered feedback as one of the most important aspects to improve myself, as in my eyes it is the most important tool to improve professionally. I am someone who strives to deliver work at the highest level of our corporate quality standards, whether as part of a team or alone, whether I am in charge or subordinate. My can-do mentality and not being afraid of trying new things has been considered very positive up to this point and I have been rewarded with even greater responsibilities, which in turn have led to further growth and helped my professional values become in large part what they are today.
