I came in and set up the Fintech vertical for Broadgate search, specialising in the financial crime, AML and Compliance market for start-ups. 

Some of the other stuff I did outside of placing candidates: 
 
-	Set up a financial crime social called “Financial crime: Breaking the boundaries between Fraud and AML” 
-	Partnered up with consultancies on projects 
-	Advised CEO’s in start ups on the best structure for a solid compliance function and getting an EMI license 
-	I focused on content building and engaging with my network on a higher level because, well, not many aren't doing it

HERE'S TO THIRTIES!!!!

I never wanted to think of myself as a “woman in business.”

I just wanted to be in business.

At 23, running my own company, I didn’t have time to think about gender, I had to make decisions, speak with senior leaders, and just do the work.

But over the last 10 years, I’ve learned that sometimes, being a woman in business does change how you need to show up.

You have to back yourself harder.
You have to talk with conviction.
You have to prove you know your stuff, over and over.

And the foundation for all of that is confidence.

So while I still believe gender shouldn’t matter in business, I’ve learned that ignoring it doesn’t mean others do.

I think at this point we need to bring back door to door sales. 

Genuinely be more effective than the 2,000 emails people are spewing across and calling it BD. 

Phone calls. 
Door to Door sales. 
Flyers. 
Cardboard stands.

Recruiters don’t think they’re “paying” for spec CV formatting or candidate prep.

But they are. In hours lost, deals delayed, and admin nobody signed up for.

Here’s what the data shows across spec CVs, candidate prep, and portals 👇

Spec CVs → 20–30 mins each to reformat, logo, attach docs. In Recfindr it’s <5 mins. That’s 8–10 hours/month back per recruiter.

Candidate Prep → prepping emails, attaching PDFs, copy-pasting role info: 15–20 mins each. With Recfindr templates it’s 3 mins flat.

Portals → recruiters hack SharePoint, Dropbox, even Canva decks to act as “rooms” for clients. It works, but it’s messy and costs time. Recfindr replaces all of that and gives you engagement analytics.
