The main mission of Enable Italia  is to put the people who need these devices in contact with the volunteers who can make them and support the volunteers in their realization.

It is estimated that every year in Italy there are several hundred children born with Agenesia (a limb that is not fully formed at birth) and about 60 children born with a malformation in the hand.

They use 3D printing technologies to design, manufacture and provide free assistive devices to people without fingers or those born with agenesis of a limb.

Aspheric and toric designs have been introduced to improve the optical properties of lenses, reducing aberrations and providing sharper vision. Multifocal and accommodating lenses have also emerged, allowing individuals to see clearly at different distances without the need for reading glasses or bifocals. Material innovations have been crucial in enhancing the comfort and safety of CLs. Silicone hydrogel lenses, introduced in the late 1990s, combine the advantages of silicone and hydrogel materials, offering improved oxygen permeability and reducing the risk of corneal hypoxia.
