I have over 14 years in the financial services industry, mostly spent within the investments landscape supporting institutional clients. • ~ 11 years in financial reporting and accounting for complex investment portfolios such as 401Ks, pensions, general accounts, endowments and foundations. During this time, I was able to see all the moving parts of an investment portfolio, which led my passion for personal finance, investments and planning for a great future. • ~ 3 years working for a large multinational Insurance company within their corporate accounting department leading projects on technology based improvements. It is the proactive financial planning that gave me the opportunity to be able to start my own firm. As a financial planner (a lot of numbers and data), I get to help people with their financial prosperity. It is the perfect job for me! I am horrible at selling. Since I have my own firm, that might be a bad thing since I need to "sell" my services. But this is good for my clients. They don't need to feel they are part of a salesy and pushy process.
