*Opinions are my own.* Hi, I'm Alex, a U.S. Air Force veteran with a love for data analytics. I am a recent graduate with my degree in Business Intelligence (BI). My journey has taken me from the military to exploring digital marketing, and finally to discovering my true passion with data analytics. With over five years in the cannabis industry, I have seen firsthand how data can revolutionize business operations. Coworkers have told me I'm a quick learner with a diverse skill set. My curiosity drives me to continuously seek new knowledge and opportunities for innovation. In my personal life, I enjoy nature walks, spending time with my loved ones and my dog, practicing Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts, gardening, playing guitar, writing, and exploring different aspects of Bitcoin. I have written about the potential intersection of cannabis and crypto, focusing on their technological and regulatory landscapes. I co-founded a veteran and women-owned cannabis advisory firm, served as VP of a non-profit, and directed marketing at a cannabis tech startup. These roles have given me a broad perspective and a breadth of experience -- particularly in the areas of marketing, public communications, and startups. I've been featured in various media outlets for my advocacy in cannabis and criminal justice reform, contributing articles to publications such as Beard Bros Pharms, Revive Magazine, Fat Nugs, Highly Capitalized, and others. As part of my commitment to lifelong learning and professional development, I am currently focused on my role as a New Client Setup (NCS) Specialist at Paycom. This role allows me to develop my skills in data analytics and business intelligence, particularly in the realms of payroll, accounting, HR, and data extraction.
