Helmets

- Open-Source Tool for Visualizing Kubernetes Helm Charts
- Used React to optimize the frontend, allowing for consistent, reusable components that are updated upon state changes and allow for future scalability 
- Implemented React Flow Library, to render dynamic, user-interactive flow charts that visualize the stream of data from Helm charts to Kubernetes template files to enable better understanding of nested values and simplify Helm chart debugging process
- Created Sass variables and mixins to store color and styling information, keeping  stylesheets organized, modular, and DRY while adding style to the overall app for a cohesive, visually appealing front end
- Designed workflow for user feedback by conditionally rendering buttons based on stateful data in React and updating cursor style with Sass to let the user know when charts are loading
- Leveraged Multer Node Library to handle the uploading of files and their contents to send as an object from client to server, ensuring efficient processing, validation, and storage of data
- Developed under tech accelerator OS Labs

Open Source Projects

- Open-Source Mean Girls Inspired Message Board
- Leveraged React to seamlessly display and update a feed of user messages by creating reusable  components
- Managed state using custom hooks to update messages in state and enforce a one-way data flow, providing a simplified developer experience by eliminating the need for separate actions, reducers, and store setup
- Used Sass to create cohesive and organized stylesheets to style React components in theme with the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls
- Integrated PostgreSQL database to store structured, relational message data from users so it persists on the application, and ensures the ability to handle concurrent connections from multiple clients as user base grows 
- Implemented a Node.js/ Express server to efficiently handle HTTP requests by using the middleware design pattern and REST-forward architecture to modularize functionality and improve backend code organization for a better developer experience

Frontend Software Engineer | The Burn Book

- Open-Source Plant Care Tracker
- Used React to create modular, reusable components using JSX syntax to visualize HTML elements for an easier developer experience, and to enforce one-way data flow throughout the app and re-render components based on user state
- Leveraged React Beautiful DnD library to implement drag and drop functionality on components to allow greater customization of the interface based on user preference
- Implemented Sass to create modular and highly maintainable stylesheets for React components, taking advantage of conditional styling for modal components that expand to show plant care details fetched from an API
- Used a SQL database to store and maintain the integrity of relational user  data between plants and rooms
