I am a certified chartered accountant with over 15 years of commercial finance experience. I've Business Partnered and counselled senior leaders in global PR agencies including Edelman and Weber Shandwick.
I focus on profitability through shrewd financial management and a strong strategic approach to business operations, as well as offer strategic counsel to senior leadership teams. Through mentorship and training, I aim to achieve wider staff buy-in to commercial processes, in order to ensure company objectives are achieved.

Over 13 years experience working with global agencies and SMEs to increase profitability by putting processes in place to optimising pricing, improving servicing levels, staff utilization and other financial structures.

We also provide financial/commercial training to help employees understand how business works and the entrepreneurial mindset. This leads to a big picture awareness amongst staff and aligns their goals with the company's.

One of the hardest things to accept as an agency founder or leader?
Not everyone who helped you get from A to B is meant to take the ride to C.
And that’s not a betrayal, it’s just the reality of growth.

I’ve seen people struggle in roles they were never meant for. Not because they lacked talent but because they lacked clarity, support, or the right fit.

- Where it’s an internal process issue, you need to provide clarity, define the role and responsibility better, and they’ll grow into it.

- Sometimes it's a training thing and you need to give them the tools, and they’ll level up.
 
- It could be a misalignment and you need to move them into a different role and they’ll shine.

- But sometimes they may need to move on. The role was wrong and the timing was off. You might find that five years later, they’re thriving somewhere else and that’s a win for everyone.

The key is being honest:

- About what your business needs now.
- About where people can realistically grow.
- And about when it’s time to part ways with grace.
