Deciding to drop an engineering role in 2014 to pursue Sales changed my life. Here's what happened next. 2014: First sales role as a Sales Engineer. Became the youngest ever salesperson to achieve the Company's Sales Challenge. 2017: Moved from Spain to the UK. In charge of Export Sales of English steel into Chinese and LATAM markets. 3X the initial target in Y1. 2018: US tariffs hit hard. Went from steel to robotics and automation enterprise sales hitting a 112% quota in Y1. 2020: COVID hits hard - customers disappear. Built a prospecting system that delivered a 20-30% meeting rate. Scaled the system to the whole division. 2021: Started B2B Sales Factory. Side project to help Sales Engineers deliver extraordinary top of funnel results, and executing the C-Suite complex sale process. 2022: First role as a Sales Director. Managed an enterprise team of 5 salespeople to disrupt the autonomous forklift market. Exciting run so far.
