Reviews and analyzes project information and studies basic project requirements to understand the scope of assigned work.  Analyzes and recommends improvements to program structure, processes, and procedures.
Serves as the primary resource for assessing needs and developing plans to meet the administrative and operational requirements regarding the specialized area.  Serves as central point of contact for information on a variety of administrative functions, procedures and requirements for the unit/organizational staff.  Provides assistance to program managers in the planning, coordination and/or supervised management of an assigned portion of a project.
Communicates program information to diverse audiences through strategic plans, work plans, and other written forms of communication.  
Assists with the development of briefing materials and updates for leadership. Compiles and compares information on program accomplishments for use by a variety of sources such as regional leadership, program managers or other interested parties.
Communicates program information to diverse audiences through presentations.  
Participates in staff and/or management level meetings and discussions pertaining to the activities encompassed in the administrative and management functions of the program

Workforce Program Specialist 

Manages the office administrative processes and ensures established procedures meet the current needs and are understood and consistently followed by the staff. 
Reviews, updates, and, as necessary, develops complex administrative office procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work involving transactions with parties outside operations at levels up to the Department and various public organizations. 
Reviews and analyzes administrative policies, clarifies complex and confusing guidelines, and makes recommendations to higher level staff for changes to administrative policy. 
Responds to administrative issues and inquires, resolving a variety of conflicts regarding administrative policies and processes among organizational issues. 
Evaluates procedures and determines when updates are required and independently effects the changes. 
Performs a variety of analytical and administrative duties in support of the director staffs. 
Provides guidance and assistance to administrative personnel within the staffs on issues dealing with correspondence and reporting procedures. 
Participates in the implementation of decisions and solutions of problems relative to the administration the senior executive’s office. 
Communicates trends observed and analyzed involving administration management and various other functions within the office. 
Interprets and explains administrative policies and program requirements to appropriate officials and disseminates information to all interested parties. 
As necessary, compiles and maintains information and statistics on issues to keep the executive level staff informed of problems and areas of concern. 
When calls or visitors are referred to the senior executive’s staff and involving matters on which the supervisor will require background information, obtains and presents necessary information prior to pending call or visitor.

Partnering with the Virginia Department of Veteran Services (DVS) and the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) program, The Hire Vets Now Fellowship Program (HVNFP) connects transitioning service members with 6 to 12-week internship/fellowship opportunities with over 25 different companies in various service industries to help facilitate their transition, provide then real-time work experience in a civilian setting and present possible employment opportunities as they prepare for their post-military careers.

V3 Transition Assistance Program  Regional Coordinator - Central Region

Assist students and graduates with career planning, job interviewing, resume preparation and job search strategies in addition to developing opportunities for graduates via campus recruiting, personal visits and various other outreaching strategies to employers, events and direct referral to employer base.

The three hosts of Bob's Boneyard decided to tackle the new and exciting field of podcasting.  Setting the standards on what excellence in podcasting will become. the boys are planning on taming this like this was the old west. If I had to use one word to describe myself, it is a luminary.  I love using my journey as a storyboard to inspire confidence in the military veterans I work with as I assist them in their transition journey.  

If I had to another word to describe me it would be a consigliere, an adviser or counselor who will dispatch trusted and sound advice without anything but concern for the wellbeing of those who have entrusted me with providing counsel.

A varied background that involves, among other things being a Navy Veteran, Radio Personality, EMT, Executive Assistant, Academic Advisor, Safety Inspector, Blogger, Military Admissions Advisor, Shipboard Instructor, Adjunct Professor, Podcast Host, Skillbridge Coordinator, and Career Advisor.  These positions have, at their core, allowed me to assist people to move closer to identifying and achieving their goals.  My passion and purpose are to be an instrument for change for veterans and transitioning service members to move beyond the uniform.  Drawing from my unique journey, I can connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds to help them see the potential within, the tools available, and how to bring these together to create their success.
