Co-founder of the Odysseia Collection (theodysseiacollection.com), a bespoke safari company with a focus on sustainability, I also work as a freelance conservation photographer and writer, and print my work to raise funds and awareness for conservation (aliceperetie.com). Storytelling, creativity, and most important of all, bridging the divide between nature and culture are my drivers. Trained in human-wildlife conflict and community-driven conservation, I believe developing cross-disciplinary skills and perspectives are essential if we want to tackle biodiversity and habitat loss. I'm passionate about helping people reconnect with nature and sharing the philosophy behind conservation. Tourism plays an essential role in sustaining conservation and protecting what's left of the natural world. But more than that, I hope that the wonder and beauty people experience is also an invitation to reflect on our relationship with the natural world - with a world that resides within as much as it does around us. This is what initially inspired me to share, print and exhibit my photographic and written work. Art is such a powerful way to initiate powerful conversations. Other than that, I have varied interests, ranging from culture (ancient Greek and Classical Greek Culture, French literature and philosophy) to sports (swimming, trekking, salsa dancing, and horse riding) to science (wildlife conservation, anthropology, and life sciences ). Wherever possible, I try to merge these interests with my work. Odysseia isn't named after one of the world's most foundational pieces of literature for nothing! Let's connect!
