Using a variety of data sources including Customer transactions, behaviour, web analytics and marketing channel analytics to provide a holistic and accurate view on performance and always suggesting tangible recommendations.

Retail Analyst (September 2019 – December 2019)

Enabling the retail team to make data driven decisions by providing digestible and actionable insights quickly to align with the fast-paced environment that is retail. The role differed from a customer analyst as the focus was more towards understanding how products and product lines themselves are performing with the aim to help better inform buying decisions. 


Customer Analyst (March 2019 – September 2019)

Working with customer focused teams within the business to help grow a healthy and profitable database of customers through delivering insights. Utilising a combination of customer and visitor behavioural data to achieve a holistic view of customers and in turn help advise acquisition and retention strategies. The role included analysing the demographics of our customers, how this is changing over time and as a result what impact this is having on the business performance. 


Brand Marketing Analyst (September 2018 – March 2019)

Understanding, measuring and analysing the impact of marketing campaigns and how we can drive efficiencies and optimise return on investment. This role also involved assisting social media campaigns and social influencer analysis.

Graduate Insight Analyst

Network Rail

In collaboration with Network Rail, I wrote my dissertation on bringing a business performance scorecard to life. The goal being to tackle the issue surrounding static data representation which simply does not answer all the questions a manager wants and needs to know about the current performance of an organisation.

Performance Data Analyst

Reviewing and analysing the impact of incidents that happen on the railway as well as identifying trends to mitigate such incidents happening in the future. 

Working collaboratively with teams across the whole business to help drive improved performance through actionable insights. Through utilising data visualization software available presenting data intelligently and interactively to audiences with varying levels of analytical skills.

The placement also involved benefit quantification and forecasting to accurately provide benchmarks and context to performance. 

A key project delivered during my year was building a self-serving tableau dashboard for the managing direct to quickly understand the performance in a given day or week showing what, where and when an incident happened in a simple yet effective way.

Volunteered time to help promote and bring science to life within secondary schools in South Wales. Primarily working with young females, demonstrating the value of Computer Science through interactive coding classes teaching basic programming principles as well as languages including HTML and CSS.
