I rejoined LinkedIn 90 days ago.

(Yep, I waved goodbye to it before, but that's our little secret.)

But three months ago, I started posting again. Here's how it went:

𝐃𝐚𝐲 0 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 30:

-Invested 1 hour daily.
-Averaged 20 likes per post.
-Got 3 inbound leads.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 30 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 60:

-Invested 2 hours daily.
-Averaged 30 likes per post.
-Got 6 inbound leads.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 60 𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 90:

- I little bit lost track of time.

LinkedIn is full of strangers for me.

I have social awkwardness
But once I like someone
I don’t shut up😄

I'm loud
I talk a lot

So how do I make friends on LinkedIn?
I invite them into my world.

→I share stories about my family
→ I share stories about my life events
→ I share stories about 'how I lost my phone"

Because in real-life, you only do that with your friends.

And when you do it online

However, not sustainable. Burn out hit hard. Yup, I fell right into that trap.

So, I'm adjusting my strategy:

• Comment for 1 hour through the feed.
• Curate content for just 20 minutes. 
• Restrict DMs to 1 hour.

I'm finding my rhythm with LinkedIn.

And being intentional with my effort.

Because your LinkedIn journey requires consistent, sustained effort to thrive.

I always wanted to be Cinderella 's
Fairy Godmother.

Imagine owning a magical wand
that can give you anything you want.

You got it.

Sounds amazing? Doesn't it. 

But Cinderella wasn't a fairy Godmother

Not everybody has the magic.

I'm 20 years old.

(Don't tell me I look older😭)

Two years ago, I found myself diving into the world of "make money online."

I came across 100s of ways to make money

- Dropshipping

I felt lost. 

But I just knew one thing, I liked writing. And since then I've been:

- A content writer 
- A copywriter

Now, in 2024, I'm back to being solo. 

Feeling lost again. But this time it feels liberating.

So I skipped posting for 3 days,
I went on reflecting on my dreams and my goals.

And when I understood myself, everything became clear.

If not now, then when?

I want to build a location independent business doing what I love: writing

Then scale it to 6 figures, because I know I can joyfully wake up everyday to work towards it.

I was obsessed with 'THAT GIRL' hype on social media 

We’ve all seen her—

 ‘That Girl’ who glides through life...

Hits the gym,
Eats super healthy,
the meditation guru,
Wakes up before the sun,
 Is a green smoothie sipper, 
And networks with like-minded people 

She is all about a super productivity packed routine.

And I really tried to imitate it. Because
It looked fulfilling. But was it?


I got a Reality Check:


The 5 a.m Club? I remained more tired than usual because my schedule doens't allow me to sleep before 11. It wasn't functional.


Daily Exercise? Not realistic. Instead 
it was better to target every muscle
group in 3-4 days a week.

Meditation Hour? Doesn't have to be
super complex. just 10 mins of deep
breathing. 

Book a Week? Pick a book and even if
it takes time. It's fine. If you learn and implement the book you read in 3 months> Reading 4 books in a month.


Networking? It's Great! But I wanna know more people who don't 
think like me. My friends don't. 
Probably that's why they are my friends.

We have same values but different
visions for our lives.

Now

 The Truth? 

There is never a rigid blueprint to  Success.


 So, pause and ask:

Is this my path or a borrowed hype?
Am I chasing validation or this is how
I will truly see progress?
FOMO or genuine desire?
Complex rules or simplicity?

🔮 Remember: Your journey, your rules.

I was chasing an aesthetic than a 
healthy routine that fits my lifestyle.

Success isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. 


Easiest way to find your ideal clients.

(Steal from your competitors)

Here is how:

1. Find a competitor who offers a similar service
2. Go to their profile
3. Click on connections
4. Then go to All filter
5. Choose your filters (Eg. Industry, company
6. Type your keywords (Eg. Founder, CEO).

Then click 'show results,' and you have a list of ideal client profiles.

Now start sending connections.

Find more such competitors, then rinse and repeat the process.

I closed my 1st client for $0

A beautiful woman,
starting her clothing business. 
I found she was louder than me.

*Ahmm* so we vibed well.

She gave me my 1st case-study,
And I used that to close my 2nd client for $250.

Since then, it's been 2 years, 
I have not hit a 10k month yet.

So when I hear LinkedIn creators hitting 10k/month in a year, I used to feel bad.

But when I zoom out and look,

a few people who started out with me had quit,
some started their own agency,
some are still juggling a lot.

I realised that,

We all start at different places.
We learn at our unique pace. 
We execute differently.

We all have ups and downs,
Great clients and bad ones
Good days and bad days.

Each of our journeys is 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞.

As long as you are learning, you are progressing.

As long as you don’t quit, you will get somewhere.

So whenever you feel down, just relax, zoom out and look at your life.

You’ll find you are not ahead nor behind anyone.

You’ll find your journey is unique.

And it’s liberating (to not be in a race)

I don't trust that... stories can help
me sell my business“, 

first thing that I checked in the morning 
before I was ready for a day off lol. 

It was an objection from a lead. 

"If only I could tell you what NOT stories
can sell 😭“, was my first thought while sipping my morning cup of coffee.

"I mean yeah, stories are relatable. But how can it make people buy from me?“

Sure…it might sound crazy to him.
But on a platform-

Where great stories can 

Make your brand rememberable.

When you can attract organic leads
without any paid advertising through
social selling.

Where engagement can connect you with leads and develop your community.


But let's see what's even crazier…

— Stories make 80% of my clients inbounds.

— I have been booking calls and getting leads without spending on any paid marketing.

— Stories help get into more conversations. 
More insights and opinions than simple
Info based and educational content.

— Stories in marketing goes back over years.
    Which makes some businesses so familiar. It's a real art. 


On LinkedIn stories have been making an
impact and changing lives… 

And I had one thing to say to him then,

Your target audience should read your stories if you want to grow.

#1 thing I fix before writing my LinkedIn post:

My mindset.

LinkedIn can trigger enough:

-imposter syndrome
-what if my post looks cringe
-what if the content doesn’t do well

It's a common struggle.

(I face it too ✌️)

But I confront it head-on before crafting my own and my clients' content.

Because when you write a post, it's not just about the

-formatting
-content
-topic

The mindset you're in will reflect in your words.

You see, when you read some creators content, you can feel their energy and conviction.

And in some, you feel it’s lacking.

Ever noticed it?

Even if you have the other things in place, your conviction and excitement should come across.

So next time, fix your mindset and then write.

Your content will naturally reflect it.

P.S. Have you noticed different levels of energy and conviction when you read posts?

In 2021, I was my own biggest enemy.

And that's because I was attaching my
worth to being perfect.

As a student. As a creator. In social 
circles. As a sister or a daughter.

I wanted things to go exactly
my way. And if they didn't

It would bother me for very long.
Creating an ideal for yourself is great

But replicating it to a level that when 
things are not always favourable 
you start doubting yourself?

Yes, that's the problem.

Perfectionism was killing me.

Even for minute tasks.... either they 
had to be perfect or I'd prefer not doing
them at all.

And I will tell you why this is a bad idea:

-My learning process hit bad.
-I was obsessed with planning things
which would never be implemented.
-Lots of pending work.
- Pile up of an overwhelming feeling. 

It did more harm than good. And I had
to work on it and set daily actionable
goals.

It took me 2 years to get rid of it and
the more I did,

- I felt productive
- I was taking more actions
- I could manage more tasks
- I was learning more because I knew
where I am going wrong

Now, I don't even think about getting things
perfect unless I am actually taking steps
and learning throughout the way 

And that's it....
All set! 

What is one struggle you are trying to overcome in life? 


A year ago, I was a college student with empty pockets and big dreams.


My dad's  business had taken a hit due to Covid-19. It was hard to pay my College
tuition fee.
Felt no less than climbing mountains.
Things were tough.

On top of that,
 I had wasted my Dad's 
money in a course (which happened
to be just the reservation price)...

And I felt burdened and useless.

But just like there's a ray of hope in 
every story and you've got to find it...

I had one for me too. Writing.
From scribbling stories and poems
in old notebooks.
To losing an Instagram blog page.

Writing was an escape hatch. 

"It's 2021, there's got to be 
some writing opportunity."
My first thought to myself.


And that's when I got my first gig as a content writer in 2021.

That was the ice breaking point.
From there, I turned into a copywriter 
from a content writer.

Got started on LinkedIn.
Started writing. Not knowing
where it will go.

Got opportunities.
Got my LinkedIn to grow more and more.
Engagement spiked
And so did the number of clients.

In 2024, I live a financial independent life.

And yes,

"Stories change lives."

I was witnessing it for myself.
And now 3 years later, I am doing
it for others too.


"Alina, I have been posting consistently,
but I am still not able to get good leads."

One question I hear almost everytime
I am on a call with my client.

And there is a reason why this is happening:

You are simply throwing content pieces
but there is No....

-Objective
-Optimization
-Big outcome
-Proper Strategy
-Filling a knowledge gap

You need a proper brand system 
management.

- Use Research+ storytelling
- Discuss your tangible results
- Keep optimizing your profile
- Discuss the achieveability of your
service/product
- Sell benefits and outcomes and not just
the service/product 

Once you do this.

Network with your ideal audience
You will see leads popping into your dms
gradually.

Yesterday, I lost my phone and I freaked
out...

I was out for some coffee with friends
and having a regular Thursday.
I mean the weather is not the best 
but what could possibly go wrong?

So I had a few projects to discuss with my
friends. I was sipping my cold coffee.
The cafe walls were covered with cool
graphics. And the perfect smell of the
roasted coffee beans.

Enough to take me to my fantasy world xD

After that, we left the cafe and went down
a few streets to shop. It was only when 
I decided to call my mom

that I couldn't find my phone anywhere.

"I am just clumsy. Girl look back carefully."
I told myself. But it wasn't really there.

My soul left my body. Shit. I told
my friend and the next second were trying to hunt my phone everywhere.

It was on silent so that was of no use either.
We retraced our entire path. 
Shops, streets. Nowhere. But wait. The
Cafe.

We rushed to the cafe and I immediately
went to the staff asking for my phone and nobody had any clue. I was planning to file an FIR at this stage.

But before that, our barista came looking..
"Is this your phone? It was too late to 
catch a sight of you guys before I realised
you left it on your table."

"Oh my God. Thankyouuu so much. 
You saved half my life." Me crying in happiness. 

Kudos to that guy for keeping it safe
with him.
But it made me realise how important
it is to actually have backups in life
especially with your business 

So that when Plan A goes wrong 
you are safe cause you have a Plan B in check. 

So, stay safe fellas!

P.S.- Then I treated myself with some 
icecream to get back my lost soul 🍦

It always amuses me how diverse
the festival is in different countries 

From traditions to clothing to rituals
it changes from one place to another...

Living in India, you might even see differences from state to state....

But one thing in common is
gorgeous outfits worn by women,
chaotic houses during Eid prep

And amazing delicacies... 🍲

People celebrating after a long month of fasting...

Teaches patience, detoxification 
self- control and to feel more connected to Allah....

You break your fast and within 5 minutes
you feel satiated.

Tells so much about how the worldly 
desires are temporary 

And there is a deeper meaning to life 💝


So , A very Happy Eid to all my brothers

During my exams days, there were 
2 types of People

Student A:
-Overburdened
-Sleep deprived
- Super Anxious
- Last minute studying
-Overnight study schedule
- Searching through all topics
summaries and highlights

Student B:
- No burden
- Weekly revisions
- In revision phase
- Made notes everyday. 
- Studied everyday. Little.
- Chilling out during exams
- Just followed the classes

Do you see the difference?

Student A is in survival mode

Student B made it a small daily activity 
to study everyday. 

Our everyday small actions have a compoundable effect.

To avoid getting overwhelmed you need to take small steps everyday.


As someone on her journey to build

That's what I am doing everyday 😄 


What do your weekly business goals look like? 


I was baking for the first time in my life. 

I had been binge watching all the baking
channels possible on YouTube.

And after watching all the baking hyper
creativity... I finally decided.

"Fine, let's keep it a classic chocolate one."
*Huh*

So,I started getting all the ingredients in-check and my mom got an idea of a showdown that's gonna be taking place soon...

Mom: "Alina, what you upto?"
Me: "Guess what, Making a chocolate cake."
Mom:"Yeah, but I think an airfryer is gonna 
work better.I mean more innovative, you 
know." 
Me: "Ma, old is gold. The cake is gonna be
better and spongier in the oven."
Mom: "Really. How? "
Me:"Simple. 

And what did I do Next? 
 Belief Shifting


I shifted my mom's belief she had regarding
baking a cake in an air fryer. 

She had a limiting belief. That an airfryer
must work better than an oven.

Similarly, People aren't responding to your offer even if they have the money to 

because they don't believe that you can
give them results that you offer.

You need to use Belief-Shifting Framework

I immediately picked on the beliefs
she had that I wanted to shift:

🛑What does my mom believe that's wrong?
🛑What's a mistake she is making? 
🛑Why does she belief so?

So here's what I did:


✅ Problem
- talked to her about what is her concern
right now?
-An airfryer giving better results than an oven?
- Airfryer feels more techie than a conventional oven?


✅ Causes
- what she was currently doing to bake
the cake wasn't the best. 
-Baking in a oven works better than 
an airfryer  for proper heat distribution.


✅ Consequence
- Told her what would happen if we baked
the cake in the airfryer instead of the oven
-Also I will have to bake in batches
because of airfryer's capacity issue.
- It is costing our time and energy.
-Texture issue


✅ Solution
- Ofcourse, the solution here is to use the
oven,and,not just that but for baking
a cake like pro....
- I told her we will use silicon liner instead of
alumni foil.
-To completely avoid any chance of foil burning.

✅ Action

-And that's the last step. Puting our batter into the oven and enjoying our cake. 

So, here you execute your framework
