Director, Facility Management

-Work with - and report to - the Development Project Manager to implement and support the redevelopment of Building 16 (Kiln Building) at the Evergreen Brick Works under EllisDon's project management.
-Assist in the development of Building Specifications, Construction Budget and Schedule
-Assist in the co-ordination of building design consultants in development of building permit drawings
-Manage day to day communication with the Construction Contractor in the:  
  Tendering and award of all trade contracts
  Implementation of Construction Safety Plan and Procedures
  Detailed Reporting on progress versus schedule
  On site co-ordination with existing Evergreen Brick Works operations
-Assist in the review of all progress payment draws submitted by the Construction Contractor
-Such other duties related to the completion of other projects that Evergreen may, from time to time, require that are commensurate with the position of Assistant Construction Project Manager

Assistant Construction Project Manager

Responsible for:
-Property management and operations including, but not limited to, building envelope, temperature and energy efficiency, security and site access, site supplies and equipment inventory
-Creating, updating, implementing and enforcing Facility Management policies and protocols
-Managing all aspects of the site’s preventive maintenance program (fire, heating/cooling, elevators, etc.) to ensure proper documentation and logging, as well as compliance with TSSA standards
-Managing compliance with federal, provincial and municipal codes and regulatory requirements as they relate to site operations including flood management and evacuation procedures, risk management, applicable noise by-laws and the Good Neighbor Policy
-Working with key environmental sustainability organizations (LEED, BOMABest) and third parties to determine, propose and implement feasible energy/cost saving initiatives
-Managing Site Stewards work schedules, site improvement projects and tasks;
Managing and coordinating capital repairs and improvements as well as contractor work
Identifying areas for improvement in above areas and efficiently responds to concerns expressed by site stakeholders
Maintaining the Facility Management budget and utilizes cost control measures to effectively achieve optimal site and building performance within budgetary restraints
Project managing implementation of environmental performance standards, charter related objectives and reporting requirements for grants and loans related to renewable energy infrastructure;
Providing and/or coordinates required safety training for site staff and serves as a Management member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee

-Supervising the opening and closing procedure for the construction site
-Maintaining daily construction logs
-Organizing construction site meetings and taking site meeting minutes
