I am a purpose and values driven, accomplished, successful senior manager with an outstanding record of strategic leadership and delivery and a positive “can-do” approach. I have wide and varied experience of management and programme governance in policy, service delivery, community and environment organisations including in challenging circumstances. I have worked in public, charity, NFP and private sector organisations and delivered large programmes and projects at local, regional and national level to secure complex turnarounds, strategic change, compliance, critical business development and process improvement. I have helped organisations to achieve stretching goals and manage programme performance, driving success and consistently raising the benchmark for excellence. I can organise the delivery of complex tasks to achieve effective outcomes without losing sight of the bigger picture. Achievements include: managing the devolution of the Landfill Communities Fund scheme to Scotland and Wales, ensuring all projects were completed and funds reported on time, drafting the first and subsequent Statutory Guidance on the role of local authorities in commissioning education and training provision for 16–19-year-olds in consultation with stakeholders and representative organisations and implementing national policy to reduce the number of young people not in education, employment or training targeted at a range of partner organisations, including developing a local provision planning toolkit. I have also worked as a volunteer and with local charities to ensure effective strategic developments and transformations. I have highly refined people skills, establishing effective long-term relationships internally and with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure the achievement of organisational vision. I am an experienced collaborator, leading teams, and motivating people to work at their highest levels driven by passion for the organisation’s purpose and pride in programme delivery, always remaining commercially aware, customer centred, business focussed and striving for improvement towards excellence. I have led operational/delivery areas as well as supporting services (governance, communications, finance, HR, and IT). I am currently working on a contract but looking for the next role.
