Disclaimer: my opinions are my own and not that of my employer. 🤓Do you want to know how I got my real start in development? As a teenager I customized my Neopets (does anyone remember Neopets?) profile page using their HTML language! 🚶🏽‍♀️From there, I learned real HTML and made a few simple websites, using iFrames was my big capstone 😂. The rest is history, I was hooked! I’ve been coding ever since. 🧮 I have taught high school mathematics for 9 years. In that time I’ve also taught a technology summer class to code robots, basic app games, and web design. I’ve used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build 5+ websites for clients, and can now add a dashboard web app to the list that incorporated multiple APIs with user data for stakeholders. I've also used Google Apps Script to work on the Google Calendar Add-on, Pav*r for over 3 months, and my app GroupCheck which has 500+ users. After finishing with Pav*r, I built the Disney Daily Planner app using React/Firebase (still a couple things left to add) and now I’ve landed my first Jr Application Developer role. 🎉 I’m looking forward to continuing to share my story and help other junior devs get their first “yes.” LETS GOOOOOOO! 💪 💻Find me on my website: http://alisonchilders.com
