Architectural lead on "Secure Development Platform".

Looking at the problem of governance and trust in the SDLC.  Why are we slow; how do we go faster?

* Business Case - Identifying the advantages to the business and marketing it to show how the project meets their strategy.
* Platform Building - Ensuring we have a central platform that offers the flexibility to meet the need of the user whilst offering Governance staff the appropriate hooks to observe and correct behaviour.
* Squad Building - Removing myself as a single point of failure; building a layer of Subject Matter Expertise that'll outlive my time with the org.

The platform is live and is the strategic CICD platform for Refinitiv.  There is an excellent squad in place that operates and owns the platform.

Platform Architect (Refinitiv)

DevSecOps Lead Architect for the Dixons Carphone Security Team.

* Auditing the delivery of digital transformation, offering advice and remediation steps.
* Helping the assurance team understand risk in the digital landscape and writing literature for the ongoing concern.
* Advising on strategy and tool choices.

DevSecOps Architect (Dixons Carphone)

DevOps Lead on the "Nationwide Digital Accelerator Platform" to help deliver digital services at pace.

* Defined the architecture of the Build, Test and Deployment platform.
* Implemented MVP as part of small core squad of 3.
* Navigated the platform through Governance process; ensuring the InfoSec and Architectural teams understood the design, risks, mitigations and controls.
* Built Squad and upskilled squad to look after the platform as an ongoing concern and act as SMEs within DevOps, hosting platforms, and CICD.

DevOps - Platform Lead (Nationwide Building Society)

Worked on the "Digital Services Platform" redefining what it meant to host digital services within the Home Office.

* Investigated landscape and proposed shared platform and container based approach.
* Delivered several POC in order to investigate alternative solutions, including coreos fleet, marathon, cloudfoundry and kubernetes.
* Maintained central technology stack that provided container hosting, authn/z, metrics, logging, vpn and CICD.
* Wrote standards that defined how services should be delivered.
* Participated on developer days and training sessions to help sell the platform, and upskill app delivery teams. 
* Worked with other business units to help set an aligned direction with central digital team.
* Represented project within Security Working Groups and Technical Design Authorities; working with architects and accreditors to align to a shared vision.

At time of leaving, the platform was the central platform for the Home Office, formed part of the centre of excellence, and hosted 27 live digital services and many more apps underneath that.
