From majoring in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology to joining the Peace Corps, moving to NY with Teach for America and teaching science for five years, opening up my own Etsy shop, starting a local Academic Coaching service, and running my own coaching practice for over a decade — every path I’ve gone down has been an opportunity to learn through doing and explore what happens when I step into the unknown. I love helping people nurture big ideas and turn them into actionable steps. Highly adaptable, I crave variety and opportunities to experiment with new projects. I prefer to experience life in the moment and am eager to see where it takes me next. I thrive in the world of “what if” and believe in learning through doing. I sometimes seek out what is new or different and heading out into unfamiliar territory appeals to my adventurous spirit. I love teaching, mentoring, coaching, and connecting with new people, introducing a spirit of optimism, energy, and enthusiasm to individuals and small groups. I especially love teaching people who are new to the things I am most passionate about. I am driven by the relationships I build with others and love to build partnerships one by one. I am deeply curious about each person’s hopes and ambitions and recognize that everyone has a unique style of working, thinking, learning, or problem solving. I enjoy hikes with my kids, a cold IPA around a campfire, reading a book I can’t put down, and wearing hoodies when I work.
