As COO and Co-founder of Collab Asia, Allen Lee oversees the company’s efforts to put creators, brands and platforms first in today’s age of digital content. He was previously a consultant for Collab, Inc. where he and his now CEO and co-founder Eugene Choi saw an opportunity in the Asian market. Together, they championed the growth of Collab’s network of Asia-related creators and eventually led the separate incorporation of Collab Asia, Inc. from Collab, Inc. in 2017. Prior to working in the digital content industry, Allen worked at hedge fund D.B. Zwirn & Co. in their Special Situations Group in New York, where he helped deploy senior and mezzanine debt and equity capital to media companies collateralized by their intellectual property. Before that, he was the Director of Corporate Development at Lions Gate Entertainment in Los Angeles, where he helped execute their annual library valuation, and has since valued over 10,000 film, TV, music and new media properties. He started his career at investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette in their M&A Group in New York. Allen holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, and is a largely self-taught coder with experience building Web apps in Ruby and SQL.
