Hey, I'm Alli. I started my corporate journey as a Mechanical Engineer in 2013 and it was a struggle (to put it mildly). I made every mistake in the book. I botched salary negotiations, I was put on a PIP, I was laid off, you name it, I screwed it up. But if you know me, you know that's just my style: --> Fail early & often. --> Learn, dust myself off, and teach others how NOT to do it. I have even learned not to sit down on an escalator the hard way (but that's a story for another time). After my difficult first few years in corporate, I knew I had to turn it around. I kept thinking to myself, "There's got to be a way for me to share with others what I've learned so they don't have to make the same mistakes I did". When COVID hit, I started making videos on career development in my garage. It felt so good to get all my learnings down on paper and out into the world. I started getting some amazing responses like, "Wow, I didn't know this, thanks for sharing!" Fast forward 4 years and I've grown my following to over 750,000 on TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn! I now have 15 wonderful years of Medical Device Engineering and Program Management experience. My mission on social media has stayed the same throughout my journey: share what I've learned in my career, so you don't have to make the same mistakes I did. _________________________________ In the last 15 years, I've become an expert job seeker and interviewer. I started getting promoted and I was sought after by recruiters. My last job search in 22' took only 2 weeks from reaching out to a recruiter through DMs, to an offer in my inbox. In recent years, I've given a TedX talk on Quiet Quitting, written a book on Surviving Office Life, and produced two LinkedIn Learning Courses on Career Development. I'm also a very proud podcast host. DM me if you'd like to share what you've learned in your corporate journey and be a guest. The ONLY way I've gotten to where I'm at is the mentorship, guidance, and support I've received along the way. I'm proud to say I'm now in a position to provide that same mentorship and guidance to others. I now run a private community for career development and if that's something that interests you, I'd love for you to join! Here is the link, we have a guest speaker every Thursday and we're all setting goals and holding each other accountable for them. That's how you create success! https://www.skool.com/career-catalyst/about Can't wait to see you on the inside :)
