Engineering Recruiter

I focus on recruiting efforts for our Manufacturing and Engineering division. I support hiring for exempt roles. Typical roles that I hire for include, but not limited to: production, maintenance, reliability, process automation, project, process, and improvement engineers.

I partner with hiring managers on determining current and future needs for their teams. 
Additionally, I collaborate with our sourcing and marketing team to ensure my job postings are appealing to the target audience!

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

I have the great honor of recruiting passionate individuals to join our ANDON team. 
In general, I help to manage and coordinate our recruitment process.

I gather relevant information from the hiring managers to serve as my game plan for my recruitment strategy. I source, qualify, and screen candidates to pass them on to the hiring managers for further review. In addition, I coordinate interviews with both the candidates and the hiring teams.
I also directly support the HR Manager with HR related duties such as policy creation/documentation, and HR research. I am also currently spearheading our LMS assessment/implementation. 

One of my greatest accomplishments in this role was the creation of a Recruitment Toolkit. This was a document that contained EEOC guidelines, best interview practices, a feedback form, and offer letter request form. It was a game-changer for the team, as it enabled us to better compare candidates and improve our general recruitment process.

Our services work to improve a client’s recruitment efficiencies (saving cost, reducing time to hire, improving candidate choice & quality, reducing compliance risk).

The group focuses on finding candidates and clients mutually beneficial opportunities. The group works with direct-hire opportunities within the oil, gas, and energy industry. Within my first month of working with the company, I happily placed a qualified engineer and an estimator and I am working diligently each day to hire more candidates.

The Bergaila Companies is a staffing company that primarily works with oil and gas clients. We find and hire the best candidates for our clients.

I primarily focus on finding the right candidates for engineering, engineering support, and industrial roles all over the country. I also handled confidential candidate information such as dates of birth and social security numbers.

I ensure efficient communication between the candidate and myself. Updates are vital in order to keep the candidate warm for the client.

My day is made when I am able to extend an offer to one of my candidates!

During my time with the company, I was able to place about 25 candidates in various contract roles.

Purdue University

Not only do I teach fitness classes, but I come up with thoughtful work out plans that cater to the needs of all of my patrons. I help the participants modify or progress movement, along with acting as a supporter. I have monthly meetings in which the whole fitness staff works together on creating new ways to cater to our patrons, new workout methods, and how to better use our resources at the Recreation Center.

Group Fitness Instructor

As a Dean's Ambassador, I worked with both incoming students and parents. Duties included the following: setting up events, doing panel discussions, and guiding tours. I also was fortunate enough to bring a couple of students to my classes so they could see what college is all about! I was able to discuss the realities of attending Purdue with prospective students which was incredibly rewarding!

Though this is a volunteer position, one must be referred for application by a faculty/staff member and then selected and trained.

Dean's Ambassador for Liberal Arts

As a STAR Ambassador, I worked with not only incoming students, but also their parents. I gave tours and advice on courses, as well as aided in the registration process.

I am a Boilermaker who is striving to put an emphasis on the HUMAN in Human Resources.

I didn't know until junior year that I wanted to be in recruitment/HR. It was through recruiting with different organizations at Purdue and attending career fairs that my love and fascination with recruitment truly developed. I continued pursuing my Linguistics and French degrees because, well, I was already so far along! Aussi, la langue est belle et je l'adore! I am so fortunate to have been able to pursue my passion of learning languages and be able to make the switch into HR!

My HR interests include recruitment (of course!), employee engagement, and labor laws & compliance. I stay updated on trends by actively participating on this platform. SHRM and Insperity are two of my favorite sites to read more on these topics.
