Ps: I also do not really have any actionable tips on how to build a great team, except to be authentic, vulnerable, and follow your gut. Everything else follows with time ☺️

The ✨ EU AI Act ✨  has VERY real impact on us as a 🇪🇺 company:

We cannot offer features that our 🇺🇸 competitors can: 

We cannot offer AI Sentiment Analysis of meetings. 

The catch? 

The EU AI Act can easily enforce & control what EU companies OFFER, but not what EU Buyers BUY. 

They might be able to enforce it for the Googles, and that's a win don't get me wrong.

But they will never be able to control what the longtail of the EU market is buying from the longtail.

EU Buyers that believe Sentiment Analysis will bring their business further, will simply buy it from US companies. 🤷‍♂️

And the EU does not have a Big 5 player to strengthen, they actually desperately need THEIR OWN SMBs to thrive and grow. 

And with the act they end up punishing them. 🤷‍♂️ 

And I see more and more start-ups leaving the EU..🙄 

Ps.: Luckily, we largely believe that Sentiment analysis is kind of useless. I've had tons of sales calls where I thought the grimey person just doesn't care, but they ended up buying a lot of seats, whereas the happy guy smiling ear to ear never ended up purchasing. So we never planned to offer it anyways. But still... you get the story. 

'Your first 100k revenue is the hardest' 

I read this well-intended advice a lot, and feel the urge to call BS

We scaled to 200k in 2 months back then, and then stayed flat for 5 months.

Countless founders I know got their first 100k in lightning speed and then hit a looooooong plateau elsewhere. 3M, 5M, ... 

For most, growth is simply a chain of s-curves. 

With painful and hard iterations in between. 

Product-Market-Fit is NOT a destination, it's a journey.

Always stay hungry, never get greedy ❤️ 

Excited to announce that we successfully sold Mosaeek

After a lengthy, but truly exciting journey we sold it for an undisclosed amount of 1,00 EUR to a strategic buyer. 

The pay-out will be via equity (got a GREAT deal here, the firm was valued at 100B in 2021, no financing round since then 🤷‍♂️ ). 

My next few months as an exited founder / serial entrepreneur:

1. Change my LinkedIn Status to Exited founder
2. Stay at my strategic buyer company for 2 years to vest my equity
3. Take a 5-day break (strategic buyer did not allow me to take more days off this year, unfortunately)

Ps.: Anyone has some cash for me to pay the M&A folks?
 
PPS: the notion of this ironic post is the partial reality of more exits than you think. As an ecosystem we need more transparency / right expectation setting for founders, bc companies should be built for longterm success instead of exits

No one ACTUALLY tells you how to win against your competition

👇 Spilling the tea 

1. Try every great product feature of your competition ONCE and NEVER AGAIN > they will think their feature retention is BAD and STOP the feature

2. Hire an army of interns to try the BAD product features A LOT, every day, so your competition will think it's a GREAT feature and change their entire strategy.. ha! went down the wrong lane, friends!!

3. Whenever you see your competition try a bad marketing channel, engage A LOT with it, so they think its working only to then FAIL later horribly. Good luck with your webinars, pal!!

4. Get retargeted by them and click on their Ads ONCE A DAY to drain their pockets.. What an expensive CAC right, guys?

How Humane / Rabbit could fix their negative backlash in 3 easy steps:

1. Accept that their job is already done by smartphones

2. Reposition to those that should not have smartphones (kids) or cannot operate them (elderly people)

3. Double down on one and build features that cater to their needs specifically. They could get another review by Marques that will surely carry better sentiment, maybe even pull the crowd on their side for listening
