Hi there, I’m Aloka and I help companies innovate. A lot of the work I do is helping companies take up product development and venture building workflows to address their revenue, valuation and portfolio diversification challenges. Over the years, I learnt one thing. “Passion makes you start. Process makes you last.” Of course I love the beautiful chaos that is an SME. I love the adrenaline rush that setting up a startup gives. I’ve jolted up 3.00 in the morning because it’s an idea too good to be left alone without writing it down. But over the years, I’ve calmed down a lot and have come to understand that there’s a method to this madness. Most of my work is about helping large companies kick start things. I used data, analysis and collaboration to put together business theses and business ecosystems that can work. At a certain time in my work life, most of my work was focused on empowering people at the base of the pyramid. So I put a lot of effort into bringing in financial independence for the masses so that I can help bring in long-lasting change. I care a lot about sustained profitability; treating people right; identifying and understanding risk; and in general, doing the right thing when no one is watching.
