My current company Games2win (games2winmedia.com) has 500 million organic app downloads and is one of the largest casual mobile game publishers in the world. We LOVE to build Dress Up, Car Parking, Car Driving and Story Games. The company creates its IP and serves over 15 million unique players across the globe. My deceased Nani, who passed away in 2015, has now received tax claims with punitive interests dating back to 2010!

And this is the FIRST time we are heading off to this!!!

And this is not a one-off case.

A month ago, I received a notice stating that at least 15 items in my newly filed returns were incorrect. My finance team were troubled and slogged the weekend. Turned out there was nothing wrong! It was a “system-generated” BS mail!

Every day, there is some other nuisance that keeps creeping into the Indian citizens' inboxes to make sure they remain tortured.

A year ago, some IT lady dared to call me and ask me if my Company had paid its advance taxes! When I asked her how dare she call me, she scowled, “I’m from the Department, and your number is with us”!!

If you terrorise your country’s people, you won’t have a country or any people left to govern

We keep parroting: Atithi devo bhav = Guest is God

How about: Nāgarikaḥ Paramaḥ Bhava = Citizen is supreme??

If he can't collect, then who can?

When someone of Rajiv Bajaj’s stature publicly says that subsidies due to his company may never be received, it’s not a casual remark. It’s a signal or a terrible disease.

Across government agencies today, receivables are getting stuck. Subsidies. Refunds. Incentives. Dues.

At my level, operating a couple of businesses and being overzealous in filing taxes, income tax refunds, and GST refunds remain blocked — often without visibility, timelines, or accountability. 

And while Money owed stays frozen, new notices and fresh demands continue to arrive with remarkable efficiency.

Cash flow is oxygen in business. Without Breath, nothing survives.

For a leading industrialist to speak this openly is rare. It reflects deep frustration — and perhaps a tipping point. Because calling out systemic blockage is never politically comfortable.

Can you lose your Job in a Software Company due to AI?

The Cold Answer is YES

Background:

Anthropic recently showcased Claude’s “computer use” capability — the AI can navigate a computer screen, click buttons, fill forms, write code, debug, and execute multi-step tasks end-to-end.

- This wasn’t just code generation; it looked like a junior software engineer operating a machine, not just assisting one.

- The demo went viral in tech circles because it crossed a psychological line: “This isn’t helping me write code — this is doing the job.”

Are you at risk?

Yes. Specifically, if you do this in your job:

- Execute without application of the mind
- Dumb copy-paste coding
- Basic QA
- Repetitive backend tasks
- Documentation, testing, refactoring.

How to mitigate this risk:

Ask yourself these 3 hard questions

1. Am I someone who thinks FIRST, Codes later?
2. If I disappear, what level of pain will be felt in the system (for a while at least?)
3. Do I throw in 'insights, ideas, suggestions, 'what-ifs', in addition to my output or 'just produce what was asked'?

Past: We had 16 external 'agents' who translated our content into native languages. 
Current: One proofreader only

Past: 20 artists to draw, create, design clothes, accessories, and characters
Current: 5 only

Takeway:

- Think in systems, not tickets
- Understand business, not just code
- Become responsible and 'feel' the business vs being unattached and uninterested.

Then, you won't get replaced - you will get promoted.

It's HOPE that propels us, often unfulfilled?

In the 20+ years of my Spiritual pursuits, I've travelled far and wide to monasteries, caves, and places of worship. Have met more than my fair share of Gurus, Godmen and Saints.

Over the past 5 years, the 'spiritual frenzy' in India has exploded! (Neem Karoli Ashram crowds, Premanand Maharaj popularity, etc.).

Today, it struck me that ALL of us go to these places and meet these people with the HOPE that "something will happen". Someone or some place will 'make magic' happen. And that's a very fair hope.

But what happens if I tell you that ALL the Magic is WITHIN you? By simply following a technique and practice, can all these 'hopes' become realities?

Which Business would you rather own?

Check the picture. There are 3 graphs of business performance: A, B, and C.

Make up your mind as to which business you would like to own.

99.98% of Homo Sapiens would choose A. (If you chose B or C, go for a checkup.)

Now, what if I tell you that ALL 3 charts are of the SAME BUSINESS!!

A = The Nasdaq performance for 5 years.
B = The Nasdaq performance for 5 months.
C = The Nasdaq performance for 5 days.

Takeaway?

- Staying INVESTED (not financially only - mentally, with full commitment and passion) always yields results over longer durations.

Nothing is better proof than the Top Stock Markets. Over 10, 15, 20 years, returns look handsome (I mainly focus on Nasdaq).

- But the CHATTER, narration, chats are always about the SHORTEST terms!

Open any newspaper, top reputed report, and they compare a few months / 1-2 year returns and create so much anxiety and pressure for investors.

This is also what happens in real life. We all feel restless when we don't get immediate or short-term returns!

Mota Moti: If you are an INVESTOR - be it in the stock market or in a business, profession, marriage, parents, or kids, you HAVE TO STAY "INVESTED".

The returns will almost always make you feel pleased.

I liked a jacket on Instagram, but when I peeked inside, the size specs didn’t make any sense.

How can B be longer than A?

How can brands not get such basics right?

What’s under the hood is always more valuable than what’s outside. That's how I determine what I buy - the time and energy spent on writing the trivia, the banal, and the boring stuff vs. the glam sham thingies.

Feel rejected and dejected when Investors say NO?
The likes of Meta, Microsoft and Amazon experience it all the time!

It's remarkable how startup pitching and funding correlate with public-market companies' market prices.

All the top tech giants have declared insane amounts of investments in AI in the past few months.

This is a PITCH - Aka declaration they make when they declare their quarterly results.

What do public market investors do? They REJECT the idea (Like VCs!) and crash the stock prices down!

Check the pic and the data:

Meta (Q3 2024): Announced $38-40B AI capex → stock dropped 11% (worst day in 3 years) → recovered fully + hit new all-time highs by Jan 2025.

Microsoft (Q2 FY2026): Spent $37.5B in ONE quarter → stock plunged 11%, wiped $400B market cap (just last week!)

Amazon (Q4 2024): Plans $200B capex for 2026 → stock crashed 8-10% after announcement (this just happened!)

The situation always follows a similar pattern:

- Entrepreneurs pitch their vision to the world
- 2.98% of investors are short-termists or are unable to understand.
- Investors reject the pitch by not funding/selling
- Entrepreneurs execute anyway
- Investors come running back!

Lesson:

- Don't let your vision be "JUDGED" by Price / or Funding. 
- If there are specific concerns, address them
- Keep going (there are 2 out of 100 waiting for you)
- Execute, execute, execute
- WIN the world!

Before the ROAR, Secure your CORE?

IFDC Bank just reported a 590 Crore "Fraud" in its Chandigarh branch involving Government accounts

"It happened with accounts linked to the Haryana government. The issue arose when one department requested closure of its account and a transfer of funds, but the balances didn’t match. Checks on other government accounts showed the same problem. The bank thinks it’s only in these specific accounts and not others.

What happened: Some bank employees and others engaged in unauthorised and fraudulent activities. The bank has suspended four staff, filed a police case, and started a full check with outside experts."

I casually visited the IDFC LinkedIn account, where a Top Film Star is featured with a Lion and some nonsensical message about safaris and Savings Bank accounts.

Someone should tell these Bankers that their CUSTOMERS are the LIONS who will eat them up if their savings get destroyed.

How can 590 'crores' get 'misplaced' and undetected at both the BANK and the CLIENT side?

If I have 59 crores in my bank and I see 590 crores or 5.9 crores, I will freak out.

And if the bank has that Money, how has it matched it to its assets?

Takeway:

- 98% of Banks in India are pure scams. There is stuff going on inside that will make you  feel like getting eaten alive by a lion is a better option than seeing your assets getting robbed

-98% of these organisations have 0% commitments to methods, processes, diligence, and zero defect standards. The same story with PNB now repeats.

Suggestion:

Vamoose from these banks if you deal with them.  

This incident is not a one-off. It's one of the many that just got spotted!

Innovation never harms. 

A superb counterargument (via the WSJ) to the Cintrini bomb of last week (link in comments) : 

“As the number of bookkeepers shrank with the introduction of spreadsheet software in the early 1980s, the number of accountants and financial analysts newly empowered by Lotus 1-2-3 and Excel rose even more.” 

My Takeaway : If man came out of the caves and created AI, there is no question of what our future will be like - It will be the brightest of the bright.

I got this cute toothpaste sampler on my last flight. 

The timing was kinda weird - just after an in-flight snack. (Made me squirm :)

What has worked for you and why?

For all the marketers out there, this is a strange case of "performance marketing", isn't it? The product is real, and the sampling will deliver (or not)
