Álvaro Gómez is an Executive in the Digital Commerce category

Since 2017, he has been leading Elogia, the main digital commerce partner in Spain, managing a team of over 150 people. In his role as CEO, Álvaro not only oversees the proper execution of the business plan but also leads Marketing Strategy for some of the agency's key clients (Unilever, Mercadona, Lidl, Teka, Cepsa, etc.).

Previously, Álvaro developed his career at Google, where he acted as the point of contact with the main independent Spanish agencies. At Google, he also had the opportunity to lead the cross-functional team that transformed Google Spain's business to the new mobile paradigm (for which he received the Google VP Global Platinum Award, an annual global recognition for initiatives that significantly contribute to business). Also at Google, Álvaro set up the Campus Remote Mentoring program, where dozens of startups incubated at Google Campus Madrid were mentored by Google business consultants based in Dublin.

Additionally, Álvaro has brief professional experiences at Diageo (London), The World Federation of Advertisers (Brussels), and the Spanish Embassy in South Korea (Seoul).

An associate professor at IE Business School, Álvaro also teaches at Carlos III University of Madrid, where he delivers the course Customer Relationship Management and Business Intelligence in the International Marketing Master's program; and at UNIR, where he teaches the Customer Journey module in the Executive Master in Digital Transformation.

He is an investor and mentor of startups, serving as an Operating Partner at Lanai Ventures, and collaborating with Seedrocket and Nuclio.
