I focus my practice on the counseling and advisory of management-side employment issues, particularly focused on start-ups and mid-sized employers to set them up for success. My expertise includes the entire life cycle of the employment relationship from hiring through termination, and everything in between. I provide practical advice to business teams on risk management and compliance, including on wage and hour classifications and disputes, conducting workplace investigations and trainings, noncompetition agreements, leave and disability accommodations, independent contractor classification, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws, performance management, reductions in force, policies and handbooks, and compliance issues with state and federal laws. I collaborate effectively with client teams from C-suite executives, to established human resources personnel, in-house attorneys, and operations staff. I also advise and assist businesses and institutional investors on employment law compliance and due diligence matters in M&A deals. I also frequently work with executives in designing and negotiating employment agreements, and compensation and severance packages.
