Nomad Star Travel, LLC is a wellness eco-travel and events social enterprise that protects the woodlands and promotes emotional well-being through travel, outdoor recreation, and meditation and personal growth practices. I facilitate eco-spirituality retreats, eco-travel tours, and on-site and virtual workshops at locations across the woodlands of the Southeastern United States and the Great Lakes.

Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council (SCMSDC)

The SCMSDC is So Cal's preeminent corporate membership organization committed to supplier diversity and the success of minority businesses. I evaluated external communication channels including social media and email marketing campaigns to improve audience engagement rates and increase awareness of new business development opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs). I also supported the planning, implementation, and evaluation for the 2022 B3 Conference and Expo, and other SCMSDC signature programs including The RISE Program Cohorts 5 & 6, and the monthly Meet the New virtual sessions.

Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission

The NKCAC promotes, educates, advocates, and provides equitable services to elevate the quality of life for the people in Northern Kentucky. I facilitated the design plans for a cross-functional, agency-wide training plan. This included conducting internal audits and assessments, facilitating info sessions and focus groups, cultivating internal stakeholder relationships, evaluating and leveraging existing organizational systems, and oversight of the action items and milestones. The final deliverables included the implementation plan for an 8-Week Onboarding Toolkit, a Master Training List, and an Agencywide 2022 Training Calendar.

The SCMSDC is Southern California's preeminent corporate membership organization committed to supplier diversity and the success of minority businesses representing the interests of more than one million minority businesses and 1,700 National corporate members.

In this interim role, I evaluated existing staffing capacities to establish baseline Key Performance Indicators,
conducted a Communication and Engagement Needs assessment to identify urgent and long-term action items to improve staff support and resilience, and spearheaded the talent search for the permanent VP of Operations.

Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless

The Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition is a unified social action agency, fully committed to its ultimate goal: the eradication of homelessness with respect for the dignity and diversity of its membership, people experiencing homelessness and the community. The Coalition works towards this goal by coordinating services, educating the public, and engaging in grassroots organizing and advocacy.

I facilitated strategy for action and response with tenants facing mass housing displacement; recruited, hired, trained, and supervised a team of AmeriCorps community service members; mobilized community-driven action through collaborative partnerships to influence local and statewide policies; developed leadership potential within the Issues Committee of the Cincinnati Action for Housing Now campaign; and spearheaded the integration of digital platforms into the Advocacy and Organizing programs to increase capacity and scope of work.

Researched and created digital media content for travel website. Identified locations and investigated history to craft enticing, inspiring, and marketable stories. Produced quality digital content under tight deadlines. Topics of specialty included fair trade and artisanal coffee roasters and cafes; sculptures, murals, and graffiti; social justice history; outdoor recreation; and boutique hotels.

Freelance Content Writer

American Red Cross

Managed the oversight of volunteer workforce on-boarding, job induction and training, leader development, and deployments to natural and man-made disaster. Supported regional field staff through facilitating meetings and delivering trainings to learn new processes. Organized a project to improve the data quality of the volunteer management system which increased the Region's capacity to more efficiently and more effectively train and deploy the workforce to regional and national disasters.

GRID Alternatives 

Coordinated canvassing activities for the team to build grassroots-level awareness for organization's state-funded solar installation program. Planned and implemented seven client acquisition campaigns which returned a total average 3.34% total response rate. Led Community Engagement efforts during cross-departmental Annual Solarthon event. Facilitated team-building activities using applied positive psychology to improve interpersonal canvassing skills.

Community Outreach Coordinator

I started as full time, and then went shifted to a remote, part time position once I began employment at GRID Alternatives. Launched the first cohort of the CEO Leadership Academy in collaboration with Wells Fargo sponsor to develop the leadership potential of minority-owned business owners in Los Angeles. Developed surveys and assessments to identify expansion capacity of young programs. Supported Board communication  and oversight through writing timely executive summaries. Created timelines to illustrate workflow and resource needs. Conducted baseline assessments to measure program capacities and impact potential. Consulted on branding and visual media.
