7 years ago, I quit my job in leadership consulting.

Then I:
- road-tripped through Namibia with my fearless friend
- packed up my life in Berlin
- flew my cats to New York
- and moved to Singapore

That same year, I began coach training.
Launched my business.
Bought my first domains.
Got my first clients.

I also:
- undercharged my first client (because I was too scared to correct her currency)
- trained in Reiki in Bangkok
- and completely lost my sense of time, purpose and place

It was chaotic.
It was uncertain.
It was exactly what I needed.

Eventually, I moved back to Berlin.
Started again.
This time with no safety net.

No income.
No clear plan.
Just a deep knowing:
It was time to find out what I was made of.

When I started posting, I didn’t expect 6,500 people to care about intuition, healing, and leadership. But here we are.

Turns out, it resonates. Deeply.

So, hi 👋 I’m Amanda.
A New Yorker living in London, fluent in Spanish and German, and forever crossing borders - literal and energetic.

I’m a Certified Coach (PCC), Facilitator, Reiki Master, Psychic, Shamanic Practitioner, and Host of Don't Step on the Bluebells, a podcast about healing, inner wisdom, and transformation.

Before this, I lived in Berlin and Paraguay, studied Latin American Studies in New Orleans, and earned my Exec MBA in Madrid.

I’ve designed leadership programs for GIZ, World Bank Group, UNICEF, Zalando, and coached leaders at LinkedIn, Impact Hub, WWF, Nestlé, and beyond.

I refuse to abandon myself.

It’s a phrase I only learned two years ago.
And one I now repeat to myself often.

Because for most of my life, I thought it was my job to keep others happy, regulated, and safe.

I would put my needs aside in a heartbeat.
Not out of obligation, but from genuine care.
I wanted to help. To support. To protect.

The pattern was so ingrained, I couldn’t even see it.
Only later, when I felt depleted and resentful, did I realize something was off.

Even after learning the term self-abandonment, it took years to understand how quietly it showed up. All the ways I was abandoning myself day-to-day.

Saying yes to projects I didn’t want.
Working with clients who didn’t align.
Hosting guests when my energy was gone.
Traveling when what I needed was rest.
Pouring a glass of wine when I really needed sleep.

Tiny moments.
But they added up.
And the impact felt continuous.

Now, I can feel the split when I’m about to put someone else’s needs above my own.
I still care deeply. But I no longer sacrifice myself to prove it.

So I remind myself, again and again: "I will not abandon myself" 

I remind myself that I come first. My health and well-being is my top priority.

Because if I’m empty, I have nothing real to give.

Have you ever noticed the quiet ways you abandon your own needs?

Every few months, I sit down and ask:
What’s guiding me right now?

As I grow, my principles shapeshift with me.
Some get retired. Others emerge from deep within.
They evolve, just like I do.

On a recent trip to Santa Fe, I had space to reflect.
To ask: What beliefs, behaviors, and thought patterns are shaping my world?

Because when life feels off, I don’t need to spiral.
I just need to check in with my truth.
Am I still honoring it?
Or is it time to update the map?

So I rewrote my guiding principles.
To reflect the woman I am today - not who I was last year, or even last month.

Here they are:

✨ I am building a life aligned with my truth
✨ My top value is inner peace
✨ The only person who needs to approve of me is me
✨ I am enough
✨ I have all the answers I seek within
✨ Everyone has wisdom within them
✨ I am always being guided
✨ Life gets to be easy
✨ My life is full of magic
✨ Nature guides me back home
✨ I trust what I know
✨ Decide. Commit. Experiment.
✨ I help people awaken to their truth

These may change again. And that’s the point.

But for now, they are my compass.

What about you - what principles are guiding your life right now?

I couldn’t sleep.
It was 2018, I’d just landed in Bali after 5 months on the road, fresh off my coach and reiki training... and there was a snake in my bathroom on day 1.

My nervous system? Cooked.
My sleep? Non-existent.

Then a friend told me to download Insight Timer and try a Yoga Nidra meditation. I did.
I slept like a baby.

That night changed everything.
It was the first time I experienced meditation as a tool - not just a concept.
A secret weapon I could return to anytime my mind was restless.

Fast-forward 8.5 years, and I still use that same sleep meditation.

When I first decided to launch a podcast, I had no idea what I was doing. 

I just knew I had a message to share - one about the many ways people can heal.

I never believed in one-size-fits-all healing. It never fit my life, and I was pretty sure it didn’t fit anyone else’s either.

When I became a Reiki healer in 2018, my world cracked open. I felt and experienced things I couldn’t explain. And I had no one to talk to about it. Most people I knew had never walked that path.

I felt alone.

I didn’t know who to ask for help, or how to go deeper into this new world of alternative medicine, healing, and spiritual awakening. I was grateful for my teacher, but I became overly dependent on her as I tried to make sense of it all.

So I searched. I took course after course, hoping something would finally click. But it didn’t - at least not right away.

Over time, things began to land. I started to feel more grounded in my own knowledge, even as I kept learning from masters across different disciplines.

And I realized: I couldn’t be the only one feeling this way.
Healing and awakening aren’t journeys we’re meant to walk alone.

That’s why I launched Don't Step on the Bluebells.
To have real conversations with the people doing this work.
To share their wisdom.
To give seekers like me the answers, the insight, and the reassurance that they’re not alone.

Healing ripples outward - from self to family to community and beyond.
And this podcast was born to support that ripple.

2.5 years and 50 episodes later, I’m so proud of what we’ve created.

How committed are you to your own suffering?

What if life didn’t have to be so hard?

What if it’s not about pushing through, but about choosing differently?

Choosing joy.
Choosing presence.
Choosing to meet yourself exactly as you are - not as who you were, or who you think you should be.

I thought that facilitating leadership programs for global organizations was the end goal. I was convinced that once I finally got enough street cred in the industry I would be happy. I would have "made it".

But when I got there, a list of dream clients at my door step asking for more, I finally had to face the truth. I reached the goal I had been stretching for - I had the accolades, credentials, and referrals coming in.

But the work was no longer aligned with who I was becoming.

It was an outdated marker of prestige that I had so yearned for, only to find it didn't bring me any closer to home.

The true fulfillment that I sought was outside corporate boardrooms and into people's hearts, minds, and spirits.

Suffering is clinging to old identities.
Joy is meeting yourself where you are now — and letting that be enough.

When I stopped trying to fit myself into the leadership persona I had so carefully crafted, I set myself free.

So ask yourself:
Is your commitment to joy greater than your attachment to struggle?

I didn’t always believe in manifestation.
Sure, I hoped it could work.
But I had very little evidence that it did. 
 
That is, until I started paying attention.
To the patterns I kept repeating.
The lessons life kept handing me.
And the quiet, beautiful ways my dreams were already unfolding. 
 
I used to write New Moon lists at every single new moon. 
Fifteen+ years of wishes, intentions, and wild hopes.
And month after month, as I wrote out my new wishes, I would eagerly look back at my journal to see what had come true in the previous month(s).
 
This wasn’t magic.
This was me creating.
 
Manifestation isn’t about hustle.
It’s about honesty.
What do you really want?
And what might you be doing to block it? 
 
This episode is a taster - a compilation of techniques that I've both created and experienced through a number of different teachers, practices, belief systems, and experiences.
 
My hope is that you'll walk away knowing that you have much more ability to create a life you love than you think you do.

Believing is seeing.
Not the other way around.
 
Manifestation doesn’t wait for proof.
It asks for faith.
Faith that what you want also wants you.
That your dreams are possible.
And that if you can see them clearly enough, you’ll begin to live them. 
 
The more vividly you imagine the life you desire, the more likely it is to become your reality.
 
And the more willing you are to face the fears and doubts standing in the way, the faster you’ll shift from what you don’t want to what you do.

I didn't know I was having a spiritual awakening.

Not until six years later.

Back then, I just knew something had shifted. 
The work I once loved still mattered, but something deeper was calling.

The friendships started to feel out of sync. 
Small talk became unbearable. 
And my curiosity? It grew insatiable.

I'd never heard the term "spiritual awakening." 
Didn't even know there was a name for it.

But I did feel like something had uncoiled inside me. 
Something I couldn't put back.

It wasn't peaceful.

It was messy. 
Chaotic. 
Sometimes scary.

And strangely? It all felt right.

Nobody talks about this part. 
But if you're here, confused and cracked open - you're not broken.

You're just waking up.
