Defines resources and facility requirements for 348K square feet of Military Treatment Facility space worth $122M, and manages an $18.4M annual budget. Steers a $3.2M IT network. Co-authors the clinic strategic plan. Manages the deployment of the new $9B Defense Health Agency electronic health record system, and the clinic’s move to a brand new $92M facility.

Director of Operations – Health Support Services 

United States Air Force, 88th Medical Group, Dayton, OH

Led the Air Force Medical Service's largest Resource Management Flight, executing $138M budget, supporting 2.2K staff with 57 beds and 302K patient appointments for 59K beneficiaries. Advised the medical center’s 21 member executive committee on resource utilization. Directed the Reimbursements Department, and directly led to the organization garnering $9M in one fiscal year, the third largest amount collected Air Force wide. Co-authored Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s strategic plan. Realigned all base education and helping agencies, thus affecting the professional growth and the quality of life for over 30K personnel.

Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Unites States Air Force, 628th Medical Group, Charleston, SC 

Directed medical support services for a 280-personnel primary care clinic team, with a $12.4M annual budget, $1.8M war reserve material, $3.1M in contracts, $5.7M medical equipment, $39M facilities, serving 63K eligible beneficiaries. Guided 18 health services managers, across three squadrons and four patient centered medical home clinics, generating $8M in medical care annually. Steered Pharmacy operations by relaunching the formulary medication program, generating 142K prescriptions, and cutting the Pharmacy private cost by $13M annually, the highest Pharmacy cost saving in the Air Force Medical Service.

Director of Operations – Health Support Services

United States Air Force, 45th Medical Group, Cocoa Beach, FL

Governed business operations for 8 clinics and 31 healthcare providers. Ensured high-quality/cost-effective care for 15K beneficiaries. Oversaw Family Health Clinic services. Analyzed internal and external patients’ metrics. Guided leadership decisions toward positive patients’ outcome. Led the clinic to a 112% business execution. Harmonized 92K patient encounters with $36M private sector healthcare care budget. Contributed to a 60% reduction in urgent care referrals, and was key to the organization clinching the number one Air Force Patient-Centered Medical Home of the Year.
Oversaw 4K referral to 14K healthcare organizations. Achieved a 98% medical notes return rate within the first 30 days, which was 90% over the Air Force Medical Service Standards. Expanded the clinic’s civilian network by adding seven new facilities. Promoted patient-centeredness by coordinating a $40K patient’s transportation contract benefiting 1.2K patients.

Group Access to Care Manager

Manages the 45th Medical Group’s information systems network and its electronic health rerecords system.  Oversees information systems equipment inventory worth $4M. Conducts procurement, license tracking, and implementation of all approved software applications. Administers the clinic’s information assurance program.

Information Systems Specialist

United States Air Force, 81st Medical Group, Biloxi, MS 

Clinic’s medical records management SME.  Oversees clinic’s coding department. Directs schedules for 10 staff and 20 resident healthcare providers. Coordinates medical referrals and consults for over 5K Internal Medicine Clinic’s enrollees.

I am a healthcare executive with over 22 years of experience. I am a retired member of the U.S. Air Force with a current security clearance. I have mastered the art of leadership through completing multiple layers of professional military education and leading many multi-functional/diverse teams throughout my military career. I approach my professional responsibilities from a project manager's perspective. Every improvement opportunity I lead is a project. I love analyzing and solving complex organizational problems. 
I have tremendous respect for the quality of the products and services my organization generates. 
I am married and have 3 kids. I am a certified USA Swimming official. I volunteer to officiate my kids' swim meets.
