I joined the company in a solution architect role. Within ten months I was promoted to be the software engineering chapter lead.

In my current role, I work with the larger product organization in ensuring the successful delivery of digital products across different portfolios. 

In the beginning I work with the team to ensure initiatives are well-defined and ready to work on. This includes defining and reviewing solution proposals. Once this is approved, I then work with teams to build the infrastructure as well as assemble the development team. At the same time, I am actively involved in helping to define and shape the features and products they’re working to deliver, almost always alongside a Product Manager. 

During development I help teams to manage their product development phase by ensuring the engineering is done in an efficient way with quality in mind. This means ensuring best practices such as continuous integration and automated testing are adhered consistently. I also coach team on agile scrum practices, especially during the early days of development. Once they are up and running well, I will take a backseat to allow team be independent.

Near the end of the lifecycle, I work with the team to ensure completed features get into a production environment and into the hands of stakeholders with minimal issues possible.

I play mentorship roles to my team so that they can grow to become a product-minded software engineer.

As sole test lead, I created and implemented the organizational test processes. Designed and executed tests for majority of new products which covers manual, exploratory, regression as well as performance tests. Coached the agile teams on agile testing as well as sharing testing knowledge with others across the organization. Manage and guide a small team of testers, enabling them to perform at their best. Built test automation framework for enabling better agile delivery. My work has enabled the successful transformation of the recruitment consultant's frontline service application from being a mainframe-based application into a modern web application.

Software Test Lead

In my role, I served as the quality gatekeeper for all development work related to mission-critical systems such as billing and mediation. This responsibility required me to collaborate with my UK and India counterparts to fully understand the proposed solution and devise the necessary test cases for all testing phases.

During project execution, I led the testing team in developing test cases and planning testing activities in accordance with the agile methodology. As part of this process, I managed the closure of defects and bugs, while also producing comprehensive test reports.

I came on board to lead and oversee testing activities, and my work included developing test plans and managing resources, such as personnel and budgeting, during the test execution phase. I was involved in the testing of the branch front end application and also developed the test planing and execution of the data warehouse application

At Mesiniaga, I was a solution specialist responsible for delivering work results that ensured customer satisfaction. This involved performing several roles that in other companies would be carried out by separate teams within a project. In the early stage, the work was to gather, analyze, and document requirements from customers using requirement engineering techniques. These requirements where then elaborated with the development team. During the testing phase, the emphasis was on verifying the solution together with the users. Finally, I also conducted user training and managed post-implementation issues until resolution.

Selected to join the six-month Q-Scholar apprenticeship program organized by MSTB. This program is geared to develop test professionals for the Malaysian Industry. As the leader of a team of three testers, I improved the quality of a biometrics security product with rigorous testing. My team and I also performed the test planning, design, and execution of a web portal application that achieved 95% customer satisfaction based on a survey that was conducted after the application was completed.

As sole developer at EssentialBiz, I ensured 99% gateway and application uptime by maintaining the application gateway and promptly resolving issues. Additionally, I improved the reliability of existing mobile applications, thereby strengthening partnerships with our business partners. Also developed proof of concept mobile applications
