Soil and Groundwater Assessment

•	Experience in conducting Phase I (Preliminary Investigations) and Phase II (Intrusive Investigations) Environmental Site Assessments and Groundwater Monitoring Events (GME) for various International OMCs;
•	Management and restoration of groundwater quality by active contaminant monitoring  and remediation; 
•	Identification and management of affected groundwater users to alleviate the exposure to as low as reasonably practicable and to bring into compliance with applicable Federal and Provincial laws and standards, International standards (such as Dutch and EPA), and OMCs internal guidelines;
•	Development and implementation of End to End Strategies, including Community Engagement and Stakeholder Participation in Disclosure of Information and Risk Mitigation.

Environment and Social Due Diligence 

•	Provided support in several Environment and Social Due Diligence audits carried out for various International clients (WORLD BANK, ADB etc.) for the health care sector and cement industries. Gained in-depth knowledge and experience of local EHS guidelines, International labour laws, IFC standards, ADB and Equator Principles.

As an intern, I gained knowledge about carrying out academic research particularly in the field of environment. 

I also gained experience in conducting physic-chemical parameters analysis of freshwater samples of Hindukush-Karakoram-Himalayan region of Pakistan. The study was aimed to establish a water quality baseline in the upper water regime of Pakistan, as it feeds lower water tributaries and distributaries across the country. Being an agrarian economy, Pakistan actively needs to monitor its freshwater quality.

Bahria University

As an intern, conducted environment health and safety (EHS) field survey at Gaddani Shipbreaking Yard, Pakistan. The assigned task helped to gained knowledge and dynamics of the shipbreaking industry which has been posing a threat to the marine ecosystem. The exposure also provided an insight into the enforcement of health and safety practices and their significance in creating a secure working environment for labourers, and improving their quality of life. 

Secondly, carried out in-depth research on Marine Environmental Laws and treaties (MARPOL, SOLAS, BASEL CONVENTION etc.), all the treaties in which Pakistan is a signatory, and their roles in managing transboundary wastes, their handling, transportation, and safe disposal.

Winter Intern

By profession, an Environmental consultant with more than 5 years of experience in conducting soil and groundwater assessments. Compliance advisor to cement and paint industries and health care centers, having in-depth knowledge and experience of EHS and sector-specific guidelines, and local regulatory environmental laws. Passionate about exploring, designing and implementing resource conservation techniques to reduce the carbon footprint. 

A biodiversity enthusiast in love with nature and the restoration/rehabilitation of natural and man-made forests, parks, gardens and different eco-systems.  Always in pursuit of knowledge of ecosystem services and their sustainable use in supporting small scale, local businesses.
