As a graduate with an honour degree in instrumentation and control from Teesside University in the UK in 1990 and an MBA from New Castle University, UK 1997, I have spent my career advocating for diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning in the oil and gas industry. I am passionate about understanding the world and have been actively involved in education at primary, secondary, and higher levels as the chairman of HAS International School, ICS Credited, and Jalan Private School and an advisor to the university of Technology and Applied science. My enthusiasm extends beyond education to social and societal advancement, and I have been elected as the Chairman of the Oman Road Safety Association, advocating for safer roads in Oman. I am also the Chairman of the Oman Environment Society, advocating for more environmentally-friendly practices in Oman and around the globe. My research area focuses on developing a framework to guide sustainability practices towards a better understanding and enhancing the relationship between society at the large and corporate world. My PhD from Brunel University has contributed to the knowledge of sustainability and the role of oil and gas companies in driving the agenda, resulting in my winning the dean’s prize for innovation & driving impact in doctoral research.
