Hi, With the objective of venturing into the field of sustainability by both designing and implementing solutions, I am currently pursing a masters program in control engineering whilst simultaneously trying to build working knowledge by engaging in IIoT and Industry 4.0 communities. Prior to that I used to be a program manager and a business analyst. While strategizing & consulting comes naturally to me I am a generalist (with an Advocate/Architect (INFJ/INTJ) personality type). I have been exposed to & involved in my family business in running a poultry farm. While from afar managing a poultry farm might look simple, it is a lot more complicated than you think. It requires every bit of management skill & knowledge. It has a complicated process of managing inventory, vaccination schedules, feed formulas, environmental management for waste and keeping the birds at a comfortable state, accounting, closing books on a daily basis. Fascinated by machinery, I chose study mechanical engineering. It turns out, while I am good when it comes to machinery, the opportunities that were available were not exactly as expected. I had taken up studying German hoping to get out there and do an MS & explore my options for a PhD. Never expected our family to run into financial problems and had to take up a job. Luckily, I had a friend refer me into Amazon & I got a job under a German profile. Not exactly a job I thought I would be doing. But adapt, learn & do the best in whatever you do has always been one of my strength. I eventually realized process improvement, automation, program management are key skills you require in order to grow in an organization looking at how companies always want to be frugal. Overtime I realized, I was getting reasonably good at these skills mentioned above. Not only that, I was good in logical reasoning, problem solving & also weirdly was able to understand technical content quite easily with minimal effort & got decent in coding too. Why coding? It made my own job easier & simpler. Skills such as VBA, SQL, R are useful on a daily basis which I started using to benefit my own team & fast track solving escalations or any automation requests. I completed my MBA in Finance (personal agenda). I have now realized that the strengths in program management, documentation, managing stakeholders, analytics, logical reasoning help me to be a really good strategist for people & companies. I try to write, draw & do some gardening on my terrace in my free time. Take a moment to check out my personal blog (sort of a gratitude journal).
