Having spent my post study years travelling solo around the world I discovered a passion for people and culture. I travelled to the USA, then New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand before moving to Japan for 12 months to teach English in a city just outside Tokyo. Why is this relevant? It's where I began my study of people and cultures. When you are travelling alone - especially as a solo female you learn a lot about people. Your instincts sharpen, you observe, you learn and you adapt. It was these experiences that led me to ultimately begin a career in recruitment before developing my career through study and starting and building my own people and culture consultancy. When I started Human back in 2013 we were a recruitment business aiming to change the way organisations hired great people.
