As the Global Director of Strategic Hiring & Talent Success, I lead a high-performing team that can be compared to an in-house Talent Consultancy operating across 18 markets and multiple brands including HelloFresh, Factor, YouFoodz and GreenChef.

My team is responsible for executive hiring (Director to C-Level across Tech, Commercial and Operations businesses) and works hand-in hand with our C-Level executives and board to drive key talent initiatives and provide strategic advisory on topics such as organizational design, succession planning and internal talent mobility.

My remit also includes delivering Talent Intelligence, Sourcing, and Candidate Experience support to our international TA Delivery teams across all levels of seniority.

At Pitch, I built a highly performing in-house recruiting team from scratch in under a year, focused on hiring engineering, analytics, marketing & G&A positions across the world (35 countries to be exact). 

Aside from overseeing recruiting, I was also in charge of employer branding and people & culture topics (performance, compensation & benefits, learning & development). I also worked alongside C-Levels on company-wide operational topics such as remote work best practices, tooling, and internal communication.

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
🔸 Oversaw a team that was achieving 7-8 hires per month, eliminating the need for agency support
🔸 Reduced time to hire by 53% (from 86 days to 41 days)
🔸 Created HR and Recruiting Reporting Dashboards from scratch using Metabase (learned a lot about APIs, integrations, data engineering, SQL and super useful data stuff)
🔸 Increased the number of gender-diverse hires by 51% over the course of 18 months
🔸 Hands-on hiring of company executives such as CMO, CCO/President, and VP Product & Design

Head of Talent Acquisition and Remote Culture

After 3 successful years in Tech Recruiting, I decided to jump back into the “business” side of things. 

My remit involved G&A recruiting (ie. non-tech positions in HR, Recruiting, Legal, Finance, Public Policy, Privacy, Corporate Communications, etc.) across all of Facebook’s EMEA offices, including but not limited to London, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Tel Aviv and Johannesburg. 

I was also the lead recruiter for R4R Hiring in Tel Aviv, Israel covering HR, Sourcer, Recruiter and Recruitment Project Manager roles.

Senior Business Recruiter (EMEA)

As a Senior Technical Recruiter in Facebook’s Tel Aviv Development Center, I was responsible for building up our ML Engineering hub in Israel from the ground up, as well as contributing to the growth of a multi-faceted engineering team. I was handling the end-to-end recruitment of Software Engineers, Mobile Specialists, and Front-End Engineers of all levels, but with a strong focus on senior ICs such as Staff Engineers, Tech Leads, Principal Engineers and Software Architects for projects such as Onavo, Express Wi-Fi (also known as Connectivity.org), and Facebook Lite.

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
🔸 Hired 2-3 senior engineers per month (niche profiles at IC5 and above) in a highly competitive market
🔸 Built out the Tel Aviv ML Hub, hiring the site’s very first ML Engineers for the company's attempt at entering the cryptocurrency market through Libra coin and Calibra, Facebook’s digital wallet.
🔸 Created and led educational trainings aimed at increasing the recruiting team's confidence in positioning Facebook values, compensation, and managing expectations during several hiring downturns.

Senior Technical Recruiter (Senior Software Engineering, Machine Learning & Mobile)

Amazon

After years of hiring top executives into Amazon, I decided to mix things up and joined the innovative and fast-moving technical side of the company. For this role, I relocated to Israel to spearhead the complete build-out of two development centers in Tel Aviv and Haifa. 

My remit then expanded to the full ownership of Amazon's Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence hiring across 5 locations: Berlin & Tübingen (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), and Tel Aviv & Haifa (Israel)

My team was responsible for end-to-end recruitment of Software Development Engineers, Technical Product Managers, Applied Scientists and Technical Team Leads or Managers for following areas: Machine Learning Platforms, Image & Video Classification, Natural Language Processing (NLP) / Speech Recognition, Search & Recommendation Engines.

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
🔸 Dove into the deep end of Tech Recruiting without any prior experience (and loved it!)
🔸 Built out the Alexa Shopping Development Centers in Tel Aviv and Haifa from scratch, hiring over 80 engineers, product managers and data scientists in one year alone
🔸 Led a number of AI/ML acquisition hires in Israel involving the lift-out of entire teams
🔸 Oversaw various tech hiring events across Europe, Turkey and Israel, resulting in 8-10 engineering hires by event.
🔸 (Still) acted as a certified "Bar Raiser", leading 2-3 BR interviews and de-briefs per week
🔸 (Still) led monthly "Making Great Hiring Decision" and "Working Backwards" trainings

Technical Recruiting Lead & Bar Raiser (Alexa Shopping, Core AI & Machine Learning EMEA)

I was hired into Amazon's Executive Recruitment team as the very first Talent Research Associate, then quickly “graduated” to a recruiter position, and later to a management position overseeing a team of sourcers and recruiting coordinators. 

Responsible for end-to-end execution of Director, Vice President and Country Head searches across Europe and Middle-East (Luxembourg, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Turkey, Israel and UAE).

I enjoyed context-switching across a multitude of Amazon businesses and domains: Retail, Marketplace, Kindle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Instant Video (AIV), Tech (Liquavista/Lab126/Alexa), and corporate functions (HR, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Tax, etc...)

🔸 Hired 64 executives (L7-L10) over the course of 4 years
🔸 Created and led the team's Diversity Hiring initiative and best practices
