I teach SQL, database design, data modeling, data architecture and anything related to data. More than the traditional way of imparting knowledge, I would like to share my experience with you. If you are a company executing a project in this space, I would be glad to assist you, either by way of training your personnel or by actual involvement in implementing the system. I worked in the United States for well over 10 years. Some of the corporations I served are BMW of North America, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Deloitte & Touche. I drove 80 miles one way to the HQ of BMW at -5 degrees Celsius. Learned a lot of front-end programming. But the bigger learning was how to drive in snowy conditions. I am well-versed in the workings of Capital Markets. I was part of a Wall Street Fintech start-up. I worked with Wipro as a Principal Consultant. Life was good, till I quit. I also served the beautiful Sigma InfoSoluions, a mid-tier company based out of Bangalore. I initially worked as an IT Consultant implementing a database solution for one of their crowd-funding clients from Los Angeles. I served Sigma as a Business Development Manager also. Recently a recruiter said that I may not be considered as an 'employee' anymore. I am 56. I am now open to working as a Consultant on specific projects, or for specific periods. No matter how small or how short they are. I am good at presentations, demos and public speaking. Consider me for your product show-casing, trade fair, expos and convention needs. I hold a Masters degree in Statistics from Loyola College, Chennai. No, I am not a Data Scientist. I was also trained in computer programming for two years at IIT, Chennai. I have done some cool stuff on IBM mainframe computers, using COBOL and FORTRAN. Hard to believe, eh? I got interested in spirituality during my work at DCL, Calcutta. I had to go on-site to the Ramakrishna Mission, Golpark to implement a Library Information System and found myself talking to the wise monks there about various life aspects. I interact daily with my dear friend Jim Welsh here on LinkedIn. My day isn't complete without me reading his beautiful posts. I love Eckhart Tolle and Sri Bagavath Ayya and follow their pointers as well. John Morrow is a wonderful human being I met on this platform.
