I’m currently working with atleast 1 of your favorite entrepreneurs in building their social capital😇

I founded Entourage around 1.5 years ago. Since then I’ve learnt why people say being a founder takes away your sleep :)

Anyway, the Entourage team is on its way to become India’s biggest talent management company for entrepreneurs & CXOs, helping them build a social community that’s as strong as their work!

On a personal level, I love the idea of constant learning and re-learning. Hence, you’ll see me visiting many colleges, incubators and VC panels as a speaker/mentor.

Previously, I've worked in Mergers and Acquisitions at KPMG India, learning about how the corporate & the investment banking world works. 

Academically, I've been a rank holder in school (scoring 99.8% in Class 12th) and have completed my graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.

I was also a part of the core team that organized India's first ever Harvard Asia Conference in association with The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations.

🍛 Basic Rajasthani thali = included
🎡 Inside rides, games, extra snacks = paid separately (₹20-100)
 🍽️ Upsell: Premium restaurant food at ₹1,200+

Even if we do the math on just basic entry tix:
₹1,000 for 3K people/day = ₹30Lakhs
Making a monthly turnover or ₹9 cr
aka annually ₹100cr+

Cashflow much bigger than most fancy businesses out there.

India is sitting on a cultural goldmine. From kathputlis to kulhad chai, there’s magic in our roots.

We just need to package it right :)

After ages of reading his content and working together, I finally met Aviral at ajvc’s 2025 Founder Catch-Up in Pune.

I’ve attended a lot of startup events where “networking” often means collecting numbers you’ll never call again 😅

But this was different - No fluff. Only 25–30 portfolio founders. Each got 40–50 minutes on stage (not to pitch, but to talk about what’s working, what’s not, and what’s breaking their head right now). From laundry to agriculture to F&B.

Other founders didn't just sit - they asked questions, suggested what the presenter could do better in their business model, how they can help, etc.

I'm sure everyone walked out a little smarter.

I’ve always believed the fastest way to grow as a founder isn’t reading more books. It’s sitting in rooms where people ask you the uncomfortable questions you’ve been avoiding.

And seeing a VC create that kind of space for their portfolio is rare. If more people start operating this way, India's startup ecosystem will create opportunities we can't even imagine :)

I used to be REALLY!!! bad at conversational English.

Like i couldn’t say 3 sentences in a row without stuttering 🫣

No, it wasn’t an educational access problem cod I studied at Amity International. We were taught English from day 1.

So, what was it?

Everytime i spoke a few lines or made mistakes - i was mocked. The fear got instilled. I just naturally started avoiding speaking English.

That changed for me at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) 

For the first time, I was surrounded by people from all over the country. Some didn’t even know Hindi - so there was no option but to speak in English.

That’s how i learnt. That’s how the confidence built up.

Looking back, i can say - a lot of learning (despite mockery) happens when there’s no other option. 

Growth lies in desperation, at times.

Oh please, our AQI has also main character energy🙃

As a company, we've never done cold sales (until now). 99.99% of our work is either referrals or word of mouth. 

In fact, on a daily basis, I get texts from so many folks saying "Hi,  XYZ person talked highly of you & shared your contact for this work"

A lot of times, "XYZ" = a few folks who I know are my biggest cheerleaders in the ecosystem.

But a lot of time "XYZ" = some people I don't even know. i have 0 idea how my name, my work connected with them so strongly that they gave our referral.
You’re being mentioned in so many rooms you don’t know

Indeed, a lot of things happen and align in the universe without you knowing. You being mentioned in rooms where you're not physically present. That’s fate mixed with good karma :)

So grateful 🧿🧿

In my 1st year at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), a speaker asked the auditorium: “What is your dream job?”

90% of the room shouted the same 3 answers:
1. Consulting
2. Investment Banking
3. CA

Then he asked:
“What is your dream company?”

Again, 90%:
1. McKinsey & Company/Boston Consulting Group (BCG)
2. Big 4
3. Google, Microsoft

It was normal & expected🤷🏻‍♀️ But today, when I go back to colleges as a speaker and ask the same questions, the game has changed completely..

Those once “aspirational” answers are now seen as "BORING Naukris"

Instead, students want to pursue:
1. Entrepreneurship (or founder office roles to see 0-1 hustle)
2. Content Creation / Podcasting
3. Freelancing 

 
This wave of startup attraction & work freedom in freshers is what will help Indian startups attract the best talent - something that was the biggest fight for founder a few years ago :)

India is indeed changing. A huge talent pool is skipping on the MNCs and envisioning to dream bigger, riskier!

We introduce, withdraw, learn, unlearn 100s of things while building work culture @ Entourage. But this 1 practice has remained consistent for as long as I can remember..

Having lunch together :)

Even if it's just 20 minutes - we'll all sit together and eat. No matter deadlines, no matter the pressure.

Nobody's allowed to talk about work. We share our weekend stories, life updates, some old learnings, philosophies of life, etc etc. but NOT work.

I learnt over time that small things like this 20 min wind-down lunch period is what builds the "real" culture, not just fun fridays and alcohol parties.

This picture is from 2022 - a self-written poem I performed in Hauz Khaz.

Even now, whenever life slows down for a minute, I still sneak into these little open mics, sometimes to perform, sometimes just to listen.

And honestly there’s nothing like it.

When 20 people gather in a dimly lit room just to create art (without briefs, deadlines, clients, or agenda) it feels raw. It feels human.

If you’ve never attended an open mic, go for one ASAP. You’ll be surprised how a stranger’s 4-5 lines change the way you look at life :)

PS - Who knows you may find me performing sometime, somewhere xD

I’ve seen so many kids with insane potential sabotaging their careers not because of lack of skill, but because of these 3 mindsets:


1. Looking to make money without doing anything
(Hint: You get attracted by listings that say: "Earn INR 1000 daily by only liking & commenting on 10 YT videos")

2. Taking people for granted
(Hint: You're not on time for meetings and message people at odd hours for your work)

3. Ignoring things because it's not 'your' job
(Hint: You have a great idea but you don't take initiative or pursue opportunities just because it doesn't fall under your Job Description/Scope of Work) 

Trends fade and skills evolve.
But character is your compass when everything else shifts.

If we want to make India a top-quality economy (especially for B2C) - we “as consumers” need to be more brutal. 

Most of us, never brutally say “I hate this product!!”

We sugarcoat it. Say it’s “nice” but never buy it again.

The customer never says. The producer never knows. And the economy keeps operating on sub-par quality 🤷🏻‍♀️

If we want better products, services, innovation, we need to be brutal. Say what sucked. Say why.

Building excellence as a country would start with honest consumption.

Interviewer: “Do you know how to drive your KRAs?”

Candidate: “No maam, but i know mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.”

Interviewer: “Do you know how to put these formaule in excel?”

Candidate: “No, but i know mitochondria is the powerhouse...”

Interviewer: “Do you know how geopolitical environment will impact our industry?”

Candidate: “No, mitochondria…. powerhouse.”

Indian education needs a desperate upgrade.

The scale at which pollution is rising every year in North India, I won't be surprised if:

- there comes a skincare brand with 'pollution-protection' as a niche
- NCR becomes the region with deepest penetration for air purifiers
-  real estate drops in the long-term cos of poor living quality

I believe AQI would be a major contributor in deciding Delhi's geopolitical & economic status in the next few decades.

When one steps into a role where they have to lead a team, the soft skills take priority over hard skills.

How you speak, what you speak, where you speak :)

Who needs millions in ad budget when you can just rhyme with a giant?

Many local brands piggyback on national names. 
Is it unethical? Maybe. Effective? Definitely.

Can only happen in low-trust, high-volume markets :)

Was speaking to Madhav recently; and got to know the biggest challenge in running a qcom business is something I never had expected..

Keeping guards at warehouses!
Not to stop theft. But to stop delivery guys from fighting with each other.

Bcs every rider wants their scooty closest to the gate. Every second matters. 

No space? They’ll rash into another scooty just to save a few steps.

It sounds funny at first. 
But it’s not. 

This also reminded me of another story Shantanu once shared - Men apply cream by rubbing it roughly between their palms and slapping it across the face. Women, on the other hand, put dots on their face before spreading it gently.

Tiny, unexpected insights. That don’t show up in market research reports. But define how you actually build.

Every single founder I speak with - no matter which industry, no matter what stage - I’ve observed one thing consistently: it’s always about the nuances. 

The unseen parts that no theory lesson can teach you :)
