Taylor Swift's music is back on TikTok, despite the ongoing feud between her record label and the app. 

The likely reason? Swift's album "The Tortured Poets Department" comes out next week, and TikTok is still the most important place to promote new music.  

Swift's return shows that even the industry's biggest stars need TikTok to help a new album take off. The megastar has 283 million Instagram followers, nearly 100 million monthly Spotify listeners, and around 57 million YouTube subscribers. A single social-media post from the performer can send her "Swifties" fan base into a frenzy. And yet, her team made the move to port her content back over to TikTok.
